I open the door and feel the warm sun hit my face and for a moment I feel free until the weigh of reality brings me back to my scenes. I walk over to the fence that separates the boys from the girls. "Dolan!" I whisper-yell I hear the fence rattle behind me "Yo?" comes his voice.
I turn around to look at him through the fence "What do you want from me?" I ask him curiously "You called me over sweetheart" I groan as he turns around to face me "Ah yes the lovely lady from table number four" I feel heat rise on my face and my cheeks turn pink "I was just um... wondering why you sat with me?" I ask he flashes me a breathtaking smile "Well when you see someone as beautiful as you sitting at a table alone you have to wonder why." he says casually
If we were anywhere else I would believe him but here in jail, you can never let your guard down even when you have a handsome knight trying to get past that guard. "You're all talk" I scowl "Just stay the hell away from me" I tell him he frowns and I walk over to Robin.

As I sit in my bed wide awake for once I wasn't awake feeling sorry for myself instead I was thinking about Ethan and how sad he looked when I left. I couldn't help but wonder if maybe he was being- no he's just like everyone else in here. Then why do I still feel like he may not be? What if he's different? I roll over in my bed and groan when I realize my mistake.
I feel a weight on the side of my bed but I don't move. "I'm impressed you almost slept through the night" I groan again and roll my eyes "do you ever sleep?" I ask as I turn over to face her she shakes her head. "You know how it is" I nod my head "I do" I sigh sadly
She punches my shoulder hard. "Hey what was that for!" I say rubbing my arm "You showed emotion" I groan and get off the bed. "I can't help it, Robin. You're the only person I can trust in here. You're the only one that I can talk to" she sighs but nods her head. "I know Iris I shouldn't be so hard on you but I don't want you to get hurt"
I nod my head then sit next to her on the bed. "Thank you but don't think you can't talk to me about things I know it's rough in here and that you've been here longer" she nods and sighs

I get into line in the cafe looking around for Ethan when I don't see him I pay attention to moving up in the line. Once I got our food I put a tray in front of Robin and start eating my own. Robin stops eating and looks up "Someone wants to talk to you" I follow her gaze and see Ethan I smile at him then turn back to Robin. "I'll be right back" she smirks as I get up.
Ethan moves to stand in a corner. I follow him until we're completely alone. "I'm sorry about yesterday. I just- it's hard in here I don't know who to trust" he nods his head "Yeah I understand. I haven't seen you around here often. Are you new?" he asks I smile "yeah only been here two weeks" I say he sighs
"I sat with you yesterday because I thought you were new. The newer ones are usually more trusting" he frowns "meaning I could finally have someone to talk to in here"
