We arrive at a small run-down house. I look around the house wondering how I got myself in this situation. Chad shows me to Iris's and my room. I walk into the kitchen but notice that there was no food in the fridge. "Hey, guys I'm going out to get some groceries" Robin throws me the keys and waves me goodbye as she, Chad, and Iris chill on the couch.
I get into the car and drive to a grocery store I saw on the way. I grab a cart and start roaming the aisles for snacks and come across a pretty girl trying to get something on the top shelf. I walk over to her grab it and put it in my cart. I see her glaring at me and I smirk taking the box out of my cart "pop tarts huh? I thought you'd be more of a toaster strudel girl" she takes the pop tarts from me "Got a problem with pop tarts?" she asks putting the box into her basket.
"No, I don't I like them a lot better than toaster strudel" she smiles at me "You must be new around here" I smile shyly grabbing the back of my neck "What gave it away?" I ask curiously she smirks "You being nice to me. No one in this damn town is." she says sadly I smile at her "Well I guess I'll be nice this one time" she giggles then her phone rings "I got to go it was nice meeting you" I wave at her then make my way to the cash register.
Once I check out I put the few bags I had into the car then drive back to the house. Once I put the groceries away I sit next to Iris on the couch. I look around and notice that Chad and Robin aren't around. "Why did it take you so long?" she asks not taking her eyes off the tv in front of her "It was busy" I lie shifting my weight. She turns to look at me "Don't lie to me!" she says angrily I nod my head "Okay I won't. The store was busy" she huffs but doesn't say more on the matter.
I remembered the absence of Robin and Chad again "Where are they?" I ask she looks around "They went out to a bar I think" I nod my head yawning "I'm tired I think I'll call it a night" she nods and leans closer to me I kiss her softly then walk into our bedroom.
I find myself awake wondering who that pretty girl was in the store. Before I knew it she was the only thing on my mind not even Iris crawling into bed took my mind off of her even when she cuddled into me I couldn't help but have that girl on my mind. Was I going mad? Nothing happened other then me talking to an attractive woman. Who wasn't Iris.
