I rush over to the fence as quickly as I could. After talking with Ethan at lunch we agreed to talk some more and get to know each other.
At the fence, I rattle it to get his attention. "Iris?" I smile as I turn around to face him he smiles back at me. "Where you from?" he asks making me laugh "Really? That's what you want to know?" I ask he smiles at me "Well when we get out of here I want to keep seeing you" he says making me blush then I frown as a sudden realization hits me. "What's up," he asks concern clouding his gaze. "Well I'm in here for a while," I say awkwardly rubbing the back of my neck.
He smiles "I can wait" he says I smile back at him. "Trenton" I say he looks confused "I'm from Trenton" I explain he smiles then frowns "I'm from Willingboro," I think for a second then it clicks "That's half an hour away" I sigh but then realize with great sadness "That doesn't matter. I can always move." he half smiles
"But what about your family?" he asks I laugh sadly then look up at him "I don't have any" I say he looks at me confused "Both of my parents are dead, I don't have grandparents, and my siblings moved to Texas a year ago." I say he nods "I'm so sorry" he say I smile at him tears well at the corner of my eyes "Enough about me what about you? You got family?" I ask he nods his head.
"Yeah, I have both of my parents and my sister and brother" I frown a little and look away from him "Will they you know let you-" he cuts me off "Yeah they will let me back home. Actually my twin brother Grayson is coming tomorrow to visit" he says I smile at him.
"You're lucky you have people to go home to"

I sit my bed not even pretending to be asleep for once. "Iris?" I sit in silence as Robin climbs onto my bed. She sighs "Ethan?" I nod my head and roll onto my back she turns to look at me. "What is it?" she asks concern I cover my face with my hands "I like him" I hear her sigh and move closer to me. "I can't tell you what to do and what not to do but I think Ethan's a good guy" I uncover my face to look at her "For real?" she smiles at me and nods
I sit up so we're right next to each other. "As your best friend, I think it's my place to warn you that I think he's a fuck boi" I laugh a little "Nah he's not like that. I can tell he's not the type" Robin gets stiff beside me "How?" she asks looking at me "I've dated enough fuck boys to be able to spot them and Ethan isn't a fuck boy"
Robin rubs my knee. "Sorry" I laugh again "Don't be I knew what I was getting into" she raises her eyebrows at me "What can I say? I was a reckless teen" she smirks at me "I'd call you a troublemaker"
