Chapter 39

Everyone has been acting strange all day today. I just chose to ignore it for a while.
We were walking down a shopping strip with the kids.
"Mama dress up! Dress up!" Nelle shouted. She loves when we play dress up.
"Okay Nelle let's find something in that store over there." I said.
"You two go ahead we going to go into another store." Lonnie said. I looked at them, but nodded.
"Mama gimme this!" Nelle pointed to a little Hawaiian style dress.
"That's no how you ask Nelle." She pouted looking at her feet.
"Sowwie mama. Can I have it pwease?" She asked. I nodded.
We spent another twenty minutes buying everything we both wanted. When we walked out the store Lonnie and Cosmo were standing outside waiting on us.
"Where is everybody?"
"The kids went back to the hotel because they were complaining about how hot it was." I nodded. It was hot. I would've did the same thing.

I don't know how I let Lonnie and Cosmo talk me into letting them put a blindfold over my eyes, but it's there.
"Why can't I see what you guys did to me?"
"Because we want it to be a surprise now stand up." Cosmo said. I stood up carefully.
"Lift your left foot up." I did.
"Now your right foot." I did.
"Hold your arms straight out in front of you." I did.
"Why are you dressing me?"
"Hush Alyana. Don't ask me no more damn questions." Lonnie scolded. I giggled, but said okay.
I don't know how long I could take having this blindfold on. They put me in the back of a car with my hands tired together. What the hell are they up to?
I felt the car come to a stop and a door open.
"Alyana I'm going to help you out okay?" Cosmo said.
"Okay." When I was finally out the car. I felt a breeze. I smelled beach water. Okay so I'm at the beach or near the beach? They trying to kill me. I'm not ready to leave the earth yet. I'm too young!
"I'm going to untie your hands, when I do don't take off your blindfold." Cosmo said.
"Alright." I felt the rope come off. You can tell who kidnapped someone before. Tying people up and shit.
"Alyana can take off your blindfold."

Y'all thought I was proposing? Nah fuck the proposal I went straight for the wedding.
We made sure everything was prefect before they arrived. I know y'all like what the hell, but I'm a boss nigga don't hate.
"Their here." Adrian said. I nodded fixing my clothes. We're having a beach wedding.
"Will y'all take these damn blindfolds off me." I hear Alyana say. The kids quickly took their seats. Cosmo and Lonnie ignored Alyana protests and helped her to stand in front of me.
"Alyana take off your blindfold." I said. She did as told. When her eyes adjusted she looked around and that's when the water works started.
"Keith...I...What's...I..." She stumbled incoherently. I put my fingers to her lips.
"This is our wedding day." I said.
"What?" She asked in disbelief.
"Yes mommy! Marry my dwaddy NOW!" Nelle shouted causing us to laugh. I handed her some more tissues. Told y'all she was going to be crying.
"Y-You want to marry me? Right here? Right now?" She asked. I nodded.
"Okay." She said. The minister started he's talk about marriage, but all I could do was look at how beautiful she looked in her dress. She was perfect for me. I loved her flaws and all.
"You may now say your vows." He said.
"Alyana Owens I've loved you since I could remember. We've been through some tough times in our life together and I wouldn't have it any other way. You blessed me with two kids and hopefully more down the road. We helped each other build a sense of stability in our lives. I helped you see how beautiful you are from head to toe. You were always the one I wanted and needed in my life. I love you." I said. Nelle ran up handing her since more tissue.
"Here mommy, here!" She said then ran back to her seat. We laughed. Nelle is too much.
"Keith this was a big shock to me. I always pictured us married, but I made mistakes in my life that messed that up. You and always forgiven me no matter how bad I missed up or how bad I treated you. I'm sorry about everything. But I'm not sorry for loving you. I appreciate the small things you do for and the big things too. This wedding would be one of them. Keith Daniels I love you now and forever." She said wiping her eyes. Good thing I told them waterproof makeup cause she would be looking all kinds of crazy right now.
The preacher went on and on. I just wanted to say I Do and kiss, maybe get some tongue action.
"Do you take Alyana Owens to be your wife?"
"I do."
"Do you take Keith Daniels to be your husband?"
"I do."
"With the power vested in me I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride." He said. Oh I kissed my bride alright. When we pulled away everyone was still clapping.
"Yay mommy daddy marry now!" Nelle shouted skipping down the aisle in front of us.

We were all sitting around the table eating and talking. Since this is technically our honeymoon I booked an extra room for two nights so you know it's about to go down.

I'm happy my parents are finally together. It might have took some time, but it finally happened. I just want my mom and dad to be happy and they are, together. Our family may be crazy, but that's just how we show we care for each other. Once we leave Hawaii I'll be starting school soon. I hate to leave home, but it's time I start my own journey.

Married?
I can't believe it. We finally are married. Even though he skipped the proposal part I was glad that he did. A surprise wedding was one of the least things I suspected and everyone knew about it. I look around the dinner table at my family and smile this is what it was all about. No amount of money in the world could change this. This is what it was, dysfunctional an all. This was just the beginning for us.
