Yugi sat in anatomy class for his first class. The teacher was going over what would be covered over the year. Soon the door opened revealing the girl from earlier. She handed the teach a paper. "Class, we have a new student this year. Meet Téa Gardner." The teacher said. Téa waved at everyone. "Can can sit by Yugi. Yugi please raise your hand" Yugi raised his hand and Téa sat next to him. "I'm Yugi" Yugi whispered to her once she sat down. "Téa" she said offering her hand. Yugi accepted it. "After class I can help you get around" Yugi said. "Thanks. I need it" Téa said. After class Téa showed him her schedule. It was exactly the same as him. Except for the last period of the day. Téa just had study hall while Yugi helped with the special needs kids last period. He loved working with them.

There next three classes went well until it was time for lunch. Turned out Téa locker was right next to Yugi's. She pulled out her lunch and Yugi got his. They went to the roof where his friends were waiting. "Hey guys, this it Téa, Téa this is Ryou, Bakura, Marik, Malik, Yami, Tristan and Joey. Yami my brother" Yugi said pointing each of them out. "It's nice to meet you all" Téa said. They sat down. "Yuge, you remember you and Yami are hosting the sleep over this weekend right?" Joey asked. "Yes I know Joey. Would you like to come Téa?" Yugi asked. Téa looked shocked. "When?" She asked. "Friday night. It's tradition that the first weekend after school starts we all do a sleep over. You can come if you want" Yugi said. "I might be able to come for a little while. I won't be able to spend the night though. Personal reasons." Téa said.

"If you don't have a sleeping bag, we have an extra one" Yami said. "Yeah" Yugi agreed. "It's not exactly that. Like I said, it's personal reasons." Téa said. "Oh um, okay. If you can at least come for a little bit that's fine" Yugi said. Téa thanked him. (I really wonder why she can't spend the night. Oh well, she can at least come over for a little bit.) Yugi thought.

The bell rang signaling that lunch was over. Téa and Yugi headed to there next class. Drama with Mrs. Carpenter. Yugi took the class last year and loved it. Of course, Yami was still in the puzzle then. But most of the time Yugi was doing the work. Yami really only came out when he dueled. Téa and Yugi went into the class right on time. "Hey Mrs. Carpenter. This is Téa Gardner. Téa this is the drama teacher, Mrs. Carpenter." Yugi said. "It's nice to meet you Téa." Mrs. Carpenter said. Mrs. Carpenter was young teacher with brown hair and green eyes. "How's that voice of yours Yugi?" Mrs. Carpenter asked. "Hasn't changed. I can't wait to see what play we do this year" Yugi said. "well I'll announce it once I know" Mrs. Carpenter said. Yugi was a phenomenal singer. Mrs. Carpenter has a suspicion why but didn't know for sure. "Téa, can you sing?" Mrs. Carpenter asked. "Yes I can. I can sing for the class if you want" Téa said. "That's fine. I usually have the new people in the class sing. I will only pick three a day for the first week. But you can go today" Mrs. Carpenter said. Téa agreed.

Soon the rest of the class arrived. Mrs. Carpenter had everyone introduce themselves had picked three people to sing for the class. The last one being Téa.

Téa went in front of the class. She decided to sing her favorite song. Hillary Duff's "someone's watching over me". She sang

After Téa finished the song, everyone in the class was amazed at her voice. Even Yugi was amazed. After Téa went back to her seat, Mrs. Carpenter went over the material for the class for the year.

When it was time for the last class of the day, Yugi showed Téa her study hall before going to the special needs class to help them. After that, he was ready to go home. Yugi and Yami were very exhausted. Téa offered to take them home in her car. They agreed. They showed her how to get to the game shop where they lived. When they arrived, Yugi offered Téa to come in. She checked time and accepted. "Grandpa, were home" Yami called. "Hello boys...oh I see you have a new friend with you" grandpa said. "Grandpa, this is Téa Gardner, she just moved here, Téa this is my grandfather, Solomon Muto" Yugi said. "it's nice to meet you Mr. Muto." Téa said. "Please, call me grandpa." Grandpa said. "Yugi, I'm going to take a nap. I'm very tired." Yami said. "Go ahead." Yugi said. Yami disappeared into his own room. Téa and Yugi spent the day together. Téa was constantly checking time. Just as the sun was starting to set, Téa went home. Yugi checked on Yami. Things haven't been the same for him since he got his memories back. Yugi knew that. "Atem, can I come in?" Yugi asked. Atem was Yami's real name. He just didn't use it very often. "Yeah, it's open." Yami called. Yugi opened the door. "You okay" Yugi asked. Yami sighed. "It just feels weird Yugi. Not having to save the world. And me not searching for my past. It's an adjustment" Yami said. "I know. This is the first time in 5,000 years you get a normal life" Yugi said. "Yeah. Anyways we better get to bed we have school tomorrow." Yami said. Yugi nodded. He went to his room and put on his pajamas and fell asleep.
