*okay as promised I have the picture of the Ring here. There are two reasons. One is of course to show it. but the second reason will be revealed later. I do not own the songs in this chapter. All are owned by Disney. Oh, I don't know if you noticed, I added a character. Amanda Ukume. I did that for Ukume279 since she's an awesome writer. Check her out. Enjoy the chapter*

(thoughts)

It's been a month already. The opening night of the play was that Saturday. Téa and Yugi were exhausted from rehearsals. Luckily the play would only be going on once a week for a couple months. Yugi kept the ring his grandpa gave him. He finally decided to ask her after the first night of the play.

That night Téa had a long, blonde wig. When her hair would be "cut", she would just take off the wig since her hair was already brown. The first part of the play was Yugi doing the narration. Then it went all the way to Téa's first part. The music for when will my life begin started. Téa sang

"Seven a.m., the usual morning lineup
Start on the chores and sweep 'till the floor's all clean
Polish and wax, do laundry, and mop and shine up
Sweep again, and by then it's like 7:15

And so I'll read a book
Or maybe two or three
I'll add a few new paintings to my gallery
I'll play guitar and knit
And cook and basically
Just wonder when will my life begin?

Then after lunch it's puzzles and darts and baking
Paper mache, a bit of ballet and chess
Pottery and ventriloquy, candle making
Then I'll stretch, maybe sketch, take a climb
Sew a dress!

And I'll reread the books
If I have time to spare
I'll paint the walls some more
I'm sure there's room somewhere
And then I'll brush and brush
And brush and brush my hair
Stuck in the same place I've always been

And I'll keep wanderin' and wanderin'
And wanderin' and wonderin'
When will my life begin?

And tomorrow night
The lights will appear
Just like they do on my birthday each year
What is it like
Out there where they glow?
Now that I'm older
Mother might just
Let me go"

The crowd cheered for her. Then it was Yugi first time on stage. He acted like he was stealing the crown. Then it was back with Téa. Mother Gothel was singing "mother knows best". The rest of the play went off without a hitch. Everyone in the crowd cried at the part where Yugi "died". But when he "came back to life" the crowd breathed a sigh of relief.

Then the ending scene was when Yami and Amanda Ukume were in a group hug with Yugi and Téa. At the end, the crowd gave a standing ovation. Yugi kissed Téa on the cheek. "You did great" Yugi said. "You did too" Téa said. They had the play in the afternoon so Téa wouldn't pop a tail. The crew went to the dressing rooms. Yugi took off his stage make up and went to Téa's room. He knocked. "Come in" she said. He opened it and Téa smiled at him. "I'm glad Mrs. Carpenter was able to work round my mermaid issue" Téa said once Yugi closed the door behind him. "Yes. That was very lucky." Yugi said. He had the box in his pocket. "So um Téa" Yugi said nervously. Téa turned to him. "Yes love" Téa asked. "we've been together for a little while now, and I wanted to ask you something" Yugi said. "Okay, ask away" Téa said. Yugi stepped close to her. "Téa, I love you more than anything. And I think I'm ready for this." He said. He pulled out the box and opened it. Téa put her hands over her mouth. Yugi dropped to one knee. "Téa Marie Gardner, I promise to be by your side to the very end. Will you make me the happiest siren by marrying me?" Yugi asked. Téa jumped up and down. "Yes! Yes! Yugi I will gladly marry you" she said. Yugi took her hand and slipped the ring on her. It was a perfect fit. Yugi stood and gave her a deep kiss. Téa loved her ring.

The next day, they got together to plan the wedding. Of course Téa's adoptive mother wanted to help. Yugi didn't mind. They thought it would be a great idea to get married over the summer on the beach.

That day Yami came into the shop happy. Happier than Yugi had seen him in a long time. "What's up Yami?" Yugi asked. "You know Amanda Ukume?" Yami asked. "Yeah" Yugi said with a raised eyebrow. "We just started dating. She's amazing Yugi." Yami said. Yugi was excited for him. Téa was too. "Oh um Yami" Yugi said. "Yes Yugi." Yami said. "Well, me and Téa are engaged. Will you be my best man?" Yugi asked. Yami smiled. "I'd love to Yugi." Yami said. Téa looked down. "What's wrong Téa?" Yugi asked. "I don't have anyone to ask to be my maid of honor or a bridesmaid." Téa said. "I'm sure we can figure that out" Yugi said. "thanks honey" Téa said. "You know Yugi, your going to be 18 soon" Yami said. "I know. Téa  will be 18 by the time our wedding is." Yugi said. "That's good." Yami said.

Winter formal was coming up but Yugi knew Téa couldn't go to that. So he suggested they just hang out at his place that night. He said he would provide something for her to sleep in since it was better for her to sleep in water. Téa agreed. Yugi wasn't sure what to use. He had quite a bit of left over money from some of his tournaments. So he bought a 6,000 gallon tank. He wasn't going to need fish in it, but he decided this would be good for Téa and him to sleep in at nights if they want to stay in the surface while they were married. The night of winter formal arrived. Téa was at Yugi's house long before sunset. "I know last time you slept on my bed. So I got something alittle more helpful for you" Yugi said. He revealed the giant fish tank. "Yugi. It's amazing" Téa said. When the sun began to set, Téa jumped into the water, her tail forming instantly. Yugi jumped in with her. "Aren't you going to sleep in your bed?" Téa asked. "No. I'm staying with my fiancé tonight" Yugi said. Téa smiled. "I'd love that." Téa said. They took some kelp and made a comfortable bed. The feel asleep in each other arms.
