"You know you ain't gotta go on this date with this guy?" Aiesha says as she lays back on the bed. She closes her eyes and puts her arms behind her head. "I wouldn't go, but that's just me," she shrugs her shoulders.
Nadia searches her closet for something to wear. She's not sure how to dress; she knows not to dress too fancy, but she also wants to impress him.
"What do people wear on casual dates?" she mumbles to herself. It had been a long time since Nadia went on a date. The last date she went on was 2 years ago.
She glances at her floor that was now riddled with clothes that she tried on and didn't like. She bites her lip and places one hand on her hip. This was not supposed to be this hard. It was only going to be one date. She made her mind up about that on the drive home. It would only be one singular date nothing more, so why did she care so much about her appearance.
After a few more moments of pondering her outfit she finally settled on wearing a nice pair of overalls and her black sweater. She grabbed her black converse and put each sock before sliding her shoes on. Grabbing her keys she turned around to look at Aiesha. She had fallen asleep on Nadia's bed, which in all honesty was a blessing. She wasn't able to get into any trouble if she was sleep. After taking one last look at herself in the mirror Nadia headed out the front door.
The drive to the little restaurant was short and there was hardly any traffic. Upon entering the building she glanced around, looking for Michael. He wasn't there yet so she decided to get a table off in the corner.
It wasn't long before she heard the chimes on the door jingle, causing her to look up. Michael stood at the door looking for her. He was dressed casually which was a relief to Nadia. He wore a green shirt with some blue jeans. He looked...handsome.
She waved her hand in the air and his eyes connected with hers. He came over with a huge smile and pulled out his chair.
"Did you order yet?" he asks as he sits down. He picks up a menu and begins to look.
"Um, not yet. I just got here a few minutes before you did," She says while also picking up the menu. Its quiet for a moment as they each look through the pages. The waitress soon comes over and they place their orders.
