Chapter 4 - Project

I was in science class, with Joey. He was the only one I knew so I sat next to him. The teacher said that we have to work on a project with a partner, I quickly looked at Joey. He nodded.

-After school-

I met Joey next to a tree after school. "So, where are we going to do our project"? I asked him, he shrugged. "How about we go to my house, my mom is at work" I said "Okay" he said and walked toward his car, I followed. I got in the passenger seat, after I buckled my seatbelt, I looked up and saw Cat walking toward Joey's car. She looked pissed. Joey got in and started the car, and then drove off. I guess he didn't see her, good.

I told him the directions to my house. We made it my house. We walked up to the front door, and I unlocked it. We then went inside and upstairs to my room.

We were sitting on the floor talking about what we should do for our project. I could tell that something as bothering Joey, he didn't say much. "Joey? Is something wrong" I asked he shook his head, I looked at my floor. I want to know what is bothering him. I then felt something touch my bracelets, I pulled my hand way quickly and looked at Joey who had a sad look on his face. I was holding my wrist so he wouldn't try to take my bracelets and see my cuts. He kept looking at me, he then started to raise his sleeve. I watched as he held out his wrist toward me. I gasped at what I saw, "Your not alone" he said softly. I looked him in his green eyes, why would he do this? He doesn't really have a reason too, he is popular, he is cute, he has tons of friends and he has a girlfriend. I kept looking at him, he then pulled down his sleeve and stood up "I have to go" he said walking toward my door. "Joey. Wait" I said he stopped at my door "Why? Why would do such a thing to yourself" I said softly, he turned and faced me "Why would you"? He said I looked at the ground, I had many reasons too. But not Joey. "Joey, I have reasons too. But you. You have such a good life, you have tons of friends, you are popular, and your super cu-" I stopped myself from saying what I think about him. He stared at me, "Meghan, my life isn't like how you think it is" he said "At school, sure I may look like I have everything I have ever wanted. But, really I have the total opposite of that" he said while coming closer to me. He came right in front of me and whispered something that made my heart melt. "First off, I want to be with someone I know loves me back" he said as he grabbed my hand, my heart was racing. "I know you like me more than a friend Meghan" he said, was I really that obvious?

I felt his hand on my back, then he started to lean closer toward me. My heart raced even faster.

I then felt his lips on mine.
