Chapter 5 - Kiss & Tell

Joey pulled me closer, I felt his lips on mine. I put my arms around his neck, he put his on my waist. I smiled as we were kissing, but I then pulled away from him "Wait, you're dating Cat" I said, he let go "So? I want to be with you. I will break up with her. Anything just to make you mine, Meghan I fell in love with you when I first saw you" he said, I smiled but I don't want him to hurt Cat just because of me. Like, why me? I'm just a lonely 16 year old girl, who has many secrets she should never tell. But, what I'm saying is why would someone breakup with their love just for me, Meghan Camarena? I mean just look at me, Cat is way prettier than me. Sure, she can be mean, annoying, stuck up, prissy... and a total Bit-... I'm going off topic. I just smiled at Joey as he smiled at me. He leaned closer again and kissed me once more, I loved this felling of knowing that someone loves me.

As we were kissing, my door flew open. Joey stopped and turned around, my mother was standing there. "Meghan!?" she yelled, great I'm in trouble... again. "Mom, calm down. This Joey" I said, she was still pissed. "Get out"! She yelled, Joey grabbed his bag and ran out the door. "Mom! He was just a friend"! I said "Do you make out with ALL your friends"? She said, I sighed "Mom, he likes me and I like him. Just because I'm your only daughter doesn't mean you have to protect me from everyone. I'm sixteen, I can handle things on my own" I said as I sat down in my bed. My mother didn't say anything, she just walked out and slammed my door closed.

- The next day -

I woke up and did my routine, I walked downstairs to my mother making breakfast and my brothers sitting at the table waiting. My mother glared at me as she cooked the eggs. I just walked to the table and sat down.

After an awkward silent breakfast, I walked to the bus stop. Like yesterday, everyone was staring at me.

The finally got to school, I walked in the school. As I did, everyone was staring at me just like the bus. Did I do something? I saw Kalel and some of her friends, I walked over them. "Why is everyone staring at me"? I asked, Stacy said "Cat. She is looking for you" "Why"? I asked "No one knows. All we know is that she wants to talk to you" Kalel said, "Speaking of the devil" Mariza said, I turned around to see Cat rush over to me, she had tears streaming down her face.

She came right up to me, "You little Bitch"! She screamed in my face, I was shocked. "What did I do"? I asked her "You know what you did"! She shouted "Uhh"? I said, I had no idea what she was talking about. "Don't act like you don't know! You stole Joey from me"! She yelled, everyone in the hallway gasped. "Cat. Listen-" before I could say anything, I felt a hot pain on my cheek. Cat just slapped me! I put my hand onto my burning cheek. "Joey loves me not you! So, stay away from him"! she shouted, she then turned away and started to walk. Until, my mouth was quicker than my brain, "That's not what he said when he kissed me"! I yelled back, everyone gasped once more.

What did I just get myself into?

After I said that Cat stopped and turned around. "What"? She said, again my brain wasn't quick enough to think, "He said that he loves me, he said he would do anything just to be mine"! I said. Cat started to tear up.

Then I saw Joey walk through the front door, everything went silent. Cat then ran off. I think I just won. But, I felt like I lost when Joey walked over to me. "What did you do"? He said "What did I do? SHE slapped me, screamed at me, called me a bitch, and told me to stay away from you"! I said, Joey looked down the hallway where Cat ran away to, then he looked at me. "Well I think that is a good idea that you do" he said then he ran down the hallway after Cat.

As he ran I felt my heart break.
