chapter 2

We did the rest of the stations but I stayed away from the bow and arrow then about an hour later we went back to our rooms. I took a shower and changed in to the clothes that were left on my bed. Then I went back to the dining Car and ate dinner with Haymitch, Effie,Peeta, Cinna,and Portia. I got a huge plate of chicken and mashed potatoes. When I realized it was chicken it reminded me of mine and Cato's "date"  thing.Then I remembered I was supposed to meet him after training. I finished my dinner and went to my room and called him from the phone next to my bed.

"hello?" he answered.

"Hey," I said.

"Oh hey Katniss, whats up?" he asked.

"Did you still want me to come down? Cuz if not it's okay." I said trying to sound casual. I really did want to see him but I didn't want him to know that.

"Oh yea!" he said like he forgot. "I mean,  Uh, Yea come on down when ever you want. Do you want to go see a movie with me? he asked trying to sound cool and not like he totally and completely forgot. 

"Sure." I said nonchalantly "I'll meet you at your room in 5 minutes." 

I changed in to a pair of tight blue jeans and a black tank top.  When I got to his room he was already in the hallway. "Hey," I said. "Hey," He said back. We walked down the hallway to the elevator and we pushed the down button. In the elevator  we were silent. Inn my head it was kind of awkward. Then when the elevator stopped he finally spoke up,"So what do you want to see?" he asked me. "I don't know. Most the movies in the Capitol are probably eother really stupid or really girly and frilly and all about fake romance and stupid ideas." I said. His face looked he was trying not to laugh at my not-wanting-to-watch-a-girly-movie-for-being-a-girl rant. "Wow. Okay then. Now I see where you stand." He failed and in keeping a straight face and started laughing histerically."Oh you  wanted to watch a chick flick?" I said sarcasm dripping from my voice. "Yea, I mean if you wanted to. I wanted to see what eer you did." He said. That changed my tone real quick. "Oh. You really wnted  to go on the date or whatever this thing is with me then didn't you?" I asked. "He looked away but I could hear the smile in his voice,"Yea I really did want to go on this date or whatever with you,I really like you, Katniss."  I smiled a little. I tried not to let him see it, just in case he was playing me to soften me up in the arena. Then he reached for my hand and it surprised me alot that I really didn't mind.  

We ended up seeing a movie about what the world would be like if there was no hunting. In this movie it said that no hunting would be a good thing. Typical Capitol. What would actually happen is that most people in out lining districts like mine would starve to death or migrate illegally to other districts through the woods. I whispered to Cato," This is so not true!" I exclaimed. "Yea I know." He said back to me. "But it's pretty funny to watch because you can critisize things. Even me from a district with no need to hunt, knows that isn't true. He pointed to the screen where someone saw a teenager trying to sneek into the woods and hunt and a man calls to him telling him he would give him food if he didn't go out there and hunt. Then I turned my head and opened my mouth to say something and Cato put his lips to mine right bfore I spoke.
