"Remind me again why we're tagging along on your crusade- please?"
Iris buzzed, her hands locked in place behind her back with light formed cuffs. She couldn't help feeling a bit out of place, as these people were still strangers who refused to really give her and Imogen any useful information at all. How could she be so stupid? Did she really expect that sort of treatment from a bunch of self-righteous guardians? Iris didn't bother trying to hide her annoyance with anything at all.

Maybe she should've dared them to turn her in, to leave Imogen alone. It was her fault they got involved in this mess anyways. If she'd been more careful...

"You're only coming along because we can't afford to lose our prisoners, now can we?" There was that word again, prisoners that came echoed from the one called Ankou just as often as she heard it coming from Toryn. The one who eyeballed them both quite often, though, was Mora.

She continued to pretend like there was a wall between herself and that guardian. The dark-haired female looked as if she wanted to rip into Iris' wires and make a mess of her exoskeleton. She didn't pay much mind to Imogen, though, which Iris was more than grateful for.

Still, it didn't sit well. Having someone constantly look at you with a hatred so deep in their eyes it surpassed that of even Ankou's cold stare.. Iris probably would've bolted had she not been cuffed.

They were in way over their heads, she thought. And with the exchanged glances between herself and Imogen, her companion clearly felt the same.
