Who was this commoner girl that they had kidnapped? They didn't know, but what did know was that she was going to starve them to death. Why? Because the little girl was literally eating everything! In fact, she doesn't even seem fazed that she had been kidnapped. "Big brothers, you guys really saved me. If I were to go back to my manor to get more food then I would be soon enough entering the lion's den," Evita said with a mouth full of rice while holding onto a huge tasty fried chicken leg. The two men had no idea what she was talking about but it seems like she can easily be tempted by food.

At the moment they were waiting for their boss for the next instructions. "Who do we have here?" a huge man with a big scar going through his eye appeared with his jacket draped over him. "Boss, we found this brat alone in the meadow. What should we do with her?" The scary man looked over the little girl, who was still eating. Usually, when people saw the boss they would be frightened and faint, peeing their pants due to his appearance. But the little girl in front of him kept on staring at him with her wide eyes while munching on a chicken leg, there was also rice stuck on her face. He changed his expression to make him scarier but she still didn't flinch and continued munching. When she turned around he thought she was finally scared but she just sighed and continued eating. He could hear her mutter "I finished my two bowls of rice." The face of the scary man twitched. But he wasn't angry, he was planning. She might be a good candidate for Atticus.

"Go retrieve Atticus," the scary man said to the men and they instantly went leaving the little girl and their boss alone. Who knows what he had in plan for her. The scary man moved a chair in front of her and sat down with a big thud but she was too busy gobbling down her refilled rice bowl. "Keep eating like that and you'll be fat in the future with no man to marry you," he said to tick her off but she just shrugged. "Works fine for me. I don't want to get married," she said not looking at the man but at the food instead. The lips of the man twitched. 'Isn't it all little girls dreams to get married to a prince charming?' he was about to ask her why, but the two men returned with the boy. "Atticus, I found a friend and possibly a wife for you," the scary man said to his son, who had a cold expression like always. The boy looked at the girl, who looked at him with wide eyes and rice stuck on her mouth. With a lifted eyebrow he looked at the scary man. "Hahah. You young ones should get to know each other," the scary man left with the two men following behind him, leaving the two children alone. One was looking at the other with disgust and disdain, while the other was wondering if she should ask him for more food. "My name is Evita!" She said excitedly. Her plan was to get closure to him so she could feel comfortable asking for more food. Atticus was surprised by the sudden happiness of the girl. Throughout his life he has been surrounded by men, there were never any girls around, and the men were all serious so the excitement that this girl was displaying was a bit overwhelming. Atticus furrowed his brows not knowing if he liked or hated her.

He made his decision, he doesn't like her. Just a few minutes of talking together and she was ranting on about all the food that she would like to eat, some of them he had never even heard of before. He sat there with a bored expression. He had tried many times to get rid of her but when he first tried, she clung on to him. He pulled back feeling a bit strange, he thought she gave him a disease. So he left the room with her following behind him.

It seems like his father was pretty fond of her. Usually, the kids that were taken back here were given to orphanages. All the rumors about their bandit group were not true. Yes, they took kids but they were mainly kids that lived on the streets and were being treated unfairly by others. Once taking in the children, some grew up to serve the crew while others were put into an orphanage that was made by them in another location where nobody would bother those children again. In the orphanage, they learned how to read and how the world works. Atticus would've been considered an orphan if only his father wasn't the boss of this crew. But it hasn't been that long since Atticus had stayed with his father. The woman had thrown him to sea. Literally. Fortunately, his father got word that there was a child who had the same features as him. His father traveled all the way back to his home town in search of the boy. When he saw a crazed woman throwing a little boy into the sea he jumped in and saved him. Though he doesn't remember who the woman was, he was sure this boy was his son, there was no mistake. He didn't even have a name so the man named him Atticus, since it sounded nice, and took him under his wing. Though Atticus didn't show any other emotions than his cold look he would be forever grateful for his new free life.

Atticus had thought that he had thought back to his past, but when he came back to reality he heard some sobbing behind him. He forgot about his annoyance with her and was flustered. What should he do? "T-that was so sad. How can your own mother throw you into the sea? You look about the same age as me, so you must've been really little." The girl cried while hiccuping. What is she talking about? How did she know? I don't even remember speaking unless I got too relaxed of her talking so much that I didn't even notice I began talking. "Atticus, your father told you to bring...girly with you to dinner," one of the men who kidnapped her earlier interrupted them. Atticus was about to say something but right as Evita heard the word 'dinner' she instantly went up to the man and started asking him questions. He was flustered at her personality but he led them to the dining hall. Atticus followed behind them looking at the back of the girl with furrowed brows.
