Mutual Feelings

Apparently, food can really bring people together.

Evita had gladly taken the food given by the men while they found her actions interesting. Since they were bandits they have only been around prostitutes or shady females, while the other half of the female population didn't want anything to do with them, since they were "trash". But this little girl was different, obviously, she was dressed in finer clothing so she had some importance, but her personality was so outgoing and energetic, well when it came to food. The men found it weird that she was eating like a starved animal when she had literally just eaten, but they still continued to give her the food on their plate.

Atticus, on the other hand, felt more strange feelings building up. It wasn't the same feelings as what the crewmates had as if looking at a cute animal, it felt suffocating. For some reason he wanted to be the only one to be able to poke those stuffed cheeks. Atticus furrowed his brows even further and kept his head down trying to sort out these strange feelings.

"Boss! A letter from the royal family has arrived." A young man handed the letter to the scarred man. Everyone at the dinner table went silent and concentrated on their boss's reaction. Evita had no idea what was going on but she knew she probably should be quiet as she stuffed mashed potatoes into her mouth. The Boss's brows furrowed then he set the letter down. "They want us to return girly by tonight. If not, then they will show no mercy in distributing their troops. If they found us that means they are not that far from arriving, so we must leave soon." Everybody was quiet as they turned to the girl who was eating with her wide eyes. They didn't want to part with her but they knew nobles and criminals shouldn't be together.

As some crewmates packed others had already thought of themselves as the little girl's uncles. "Girly, you must make sure to eat a lot. Men like big women." "What are you saying? Do you want girly to become ugly? She must be a beauty when she grows up to marry Atticus." "If nobody wants girly when she's big then I'll take her hand." The crewmates argued as the kitchen chef was truly the one showing the most care even with his stoic face. He had made sure to pack food worth a week for her in case she finished everything in one go. He even made sure to pack it securely for her and sternly told her to only eat it when she was really hungry. He doubts she would listen as she was already eyeing the basket but he was just glad to see someone so innocent and pure enjoying his food.

As the arguing crewmates were scolded by the head chef they gave girly a last goodbye before helping the others, which left Atticus with Evita. Atticus knew they were to set sail soon, and he didn't want to waste time with the dense girl, but there was a sour feeling as if he would regret something not saying bye.

As he was once again confused about these feelings he suddenly felt a plump body against his. Evita had to tiptoe to hug him, "I hope you'll get to enjoy your time with the uncles and your dad. If you ever want a food buddy come to my place." Even now she was thinking about food. Atticus didn't notice but his lips turned into a smile then he patted her on the head. All he could think about was how much she was like a piglet. Imagining a small cute snort on her, he couldn't help but widen his smile as Evita moved her head to the side in confusion.

Evita was accompanied by a random civilian as the bandit ship set sail. The crewmates had threatened the civilian if she were to do anything too girly her whole family would get killed. Just as the ship was already a ways away Atticus's smile disappeared. He had just realized what the little girl had told him. He was too engrossed in her cute appearance that he didn't ask her family name. He was once again conflicted but at this moment he made a determination that he will become a famous bandit the world had seen so he can find her again. Nothing will restrict him from the nobles.

Evita really wanted to eat the food that the kind chef had packed for her but this was not the right situation to do so. Currently, she was taken by rough looking men in uniforms and brought to the castle. As she sat in front of who seems to be the Queen, it was a tense atmosphere. "Someone go get the Prince." Was the only thing the Queen had said so far.

In the mind of the Queen, she was also conflicted. Though this girl was only 12 she seemed to have a little extra roundness to her. The Oshell household had never been thought of before since the Clover household was the one with the strength, but seeing the only daughter of the Oshell household, the Queen had mixed feelings. She regrets not taking in another family's daughter sooner, but when her son had told her he didn't want to be a tossed toy she doesn't have the heart to change his candidate again especially when they had already announced the change. "Mother," Evita turned her head to the young voice. SIlver hair and red eyes, there was only one person in the otome game with these features, Regis Codewell. The cold-hearted prince. Regis only glanced at the girl before disregarding her as nothing. Though Evita was dense she knew when she wasn't liked. 'Well I don't like you either' she humphed out loud and once again turned her head. The Queen and Regis raised their brow at the girl's action.
