Kai's Nonsensical Notebook

bar scene

-ding a ling- the bell on the door rang as I entered the fairly empty bar, everyone watched me as I made my way to the bar's counter.

"Oi Jacklyn, how's my favorite customer?" The bartender bellowed with a hearty smile, and let out a light chuckle. "I'm doing fine, boss just let me off for the week... How are you doing Grant?" I asked with a hint of amusement as I sat down on the wooden bar stool. He let out a light sigh and looks around somberly, then chuckled.

"I'm doing fine my dear, so the usual coke and rum? Or would something else fancy your tongue?" He asked as he passed a rough looking hand through his oily dark brown hair, and leaned on the counter. He looked into my grayish green eyes expectantly, patiently waiting for my answer. "I actually came here to speak with you, boss wanted to know if you've seen my sister lately... She hasn't been showing up to 'work' and he's kinda concerned about her well being"

He lazily pushed himself off of the bar and sighed, "sorry darlin', haven't seen her since last week when you came here with her in tow... I hope she's okay" He said as he turned and tended to the new customer that just walked in. I sighed and took my little sketchbook and pen and started to sketch the newcomer.

{15 minute time skip}

I was almost done sketching the newcomer when my phone started to vibrate. I closed my sketchbook and took out my phone and seen that boss had texted me, sighing I opened the message:

Kevin(boss): Hello my little pet, I've a job for you to do. I know I've let you off for the week but it's important.

Jacklyn(me): Hey boss, I understand... So what's it you want me to do?

Kevin: I want you to hunt down and stalk a person for me, would you mind I think they've got something to do with your sister's, disappearance.

Jacklyn: A'ight I'll get to it, just tell me what they look like, or send a pic of 'em if you have one.

Kevin: -insert picture of the newcomer-

I stared at the picture for a moment, "And who might that be, if I may ask?~" A smooth yet raspy voice whispered in my ear...
