Still in the Night

My soul cries out in the night! Behold the soft moonlight comes to wash away day's hope. Sleep will not come, instead  fear and despair arise. My body swells with an inhuman chill, I feel death. Shouts for help are unheard as my heart fails to slow down. Paralysis creeps over my body consuming all. Movement has stolen from my limbs.  Pain winks in her laughter, bringing tears of anguish and fear. No matter my silent prayers I will lay  paralyzed with nothing save my wide eyed stare.
