Warmth seeps in through my crown down to my toes.
Salty water, both cool and refreshing laps gently at my feet as the waves crash loudly in melodic harmony.
Sand plastered on exposed skin, leaves muddy streaks to dribble off my thighs.
The heavy salty air settles about as I fill my lungs with a crisp breath.
Darkness is all I truly see.
The sea disappears yet her taste lingers.
My heart beats slowly an I yearn to be on that salty shore listening to the calls of the gulls ride in on the high tide.
