The car blast into flames right infront me and there was nothing I could do about it. My heart raced and I found myself standing infront of the flaming clump of metal
No... No!!
This can't be happening!
I watched helplessly, screaming at my men to put off the fire while the tears running down my face
"Boss" the man closest to me whispered pointing sideways
Priya stood there with her hands covering her face and her eyes wide as saucers.
Relief flooded through me at the sight of her. I pull her in my arms and clutch her tightly against my body. I start peppering kisses all over her face. Thanking God a million times that she's okay.
Her eyes get unfocused and she falls limp in my arms
"Get me a bloody car!" I yell at my men, still clutching her body to mine
She was ok
I repeated like a mantra in my head. I wouldn't let her out of my sight now
A few minutes into the car ride, her eyes fluttered open
"What happened?" she asked her voice thick
She tried to sit up straight and I pull her onto my lap and tighten my hold around her
"Don't get up! I almost lost you today. You're not leaving my side"
She struggled a little
"Did my car really blow up?"
I clench my jaw
"Yes, I think they were trying to get me and I'm sorry you had to see that babe. How did you escape anyway? I thought you were in the car?"
"I went to drop off some cookies to Mrs. Hazel, my neighbour"
I kiss her forehead
"I love you sweetheart"
"Lucien," she said looking up intensely
"I love you too"
I kiss her hard and clutch her against my body
"Where are we going?"
"To the hospital, to get you checked. You've been through a lot today and you're still pale"
She groans and gets off my lap,
"I'm fine, we don't need to go. Ask the driver to turn back"
I snort,
"For a doctor, you sure are a fussy patient"
"Please Lucien, ask him to drop me back home. I'm fine!!"
"You're getting a full body check up and No you're not going back. You will be staying by my side until its safe"
She rolls her eyes at me but keeps quiet

It's been four hours!
I'm rushed into various scans and my samples have been taken
Currently we are waiting on the ground floor for my test results. The complete hallway is filled with Lucien's men and as promised he never let me out of sight. Worst of it all? Even my phone was confiscated cause it wasn't safe anymore.
*Cue eye roll*
I was bored out of my mind and he was busy fishing out instructions to his men.
"Gimme your phone!" I asked him
He wordlessly handed it over to me and continued his instructions
I downloaded a few racing games and started playing, his phone was so boring, it doesn't have any apps or games!
Halfway through my game, his phone rang. I handed it over to him and sat.
A middle aged doctor called my name and I went it to collect my reports
"Hi Dr. Priya, how are you feeling? "
"I'm fine, there's nothing wrong with me!" I told him exasperated
He chuckles,
"I can see that, it's hot in here don't you think?" he asks me as I frown
He walks up around my chair to switch on the ceiling fan. I wait patiently for him to return, when doesn't I turn back to see a needle in his hand and the other hand clutches my mouth tightly stopping my screams
I panic and reach my locket while trying to claw his hands away. Where are you Lucien??
"Don't worry sweetheart, I'll take care of you" is all I heard before I black out
