Unchangeable Destiny

Chapter 11

Hey guys! I would not be making any new fics as of now, and my current priority is to just finish this fic. I have another account shared with someone else in a way and I do have many other new commitments, hence I would finish this story and that would be it. Thank you for your support though!

Shinichi's POV

I decided that I needed a walk alone to breathe. Josuke is right. An eye for an eye, and the world goes blind. I just, perhaps, needed some "me time", to just relax. Also, I did have in mind a place I wanted to go to- Back to our base. The heroes that have fallen are worth to be honoured and they shall be, after the wall. But for now, they would be set as ashes and rise to the heavens, just like where they belong.

The whole old base was the site of a massacre. Dead bodies filled the grounds, crimson liquid flowing like rivers. Tears were welling up in my eyes as I thought of how I was so preoccupied that as my people were being slaughtered, I wasn't even aware. Unexpectedly, a hand made its way to my back. By instinct, I flinched and nearly slapped the innocent child behind me.

"Oni-san...?" The young boy looked so scared that I relented, still on guard

"Who are you? Where are you from" I stare at him intently

"I was captured by the men in black. My name is... HOW DO I KNOW I CAN TRUST YOU" He slowly inched back

"Believe it or not, I can be trusted. Of course, you can choose to not trust me" I said nonchalantly as I walked deeper into the old base. Surprisingly, the boy followed me in.

"What happened here?" He came closer to me, his hands gripping my wrist.

"These people were my people. The Ravens killed all of them." I gritted my teeth as my fist clenched.

"Can I follow you back to a safe place?" He pleaded and some part deep within me couldn't refuse.

"You shall, but stick close to me. If you try anything funny, you will found yourself with a bullet through your head" I warned him, swiftly making my way in to incinerate the whole of the old base before making our way back.

TIMESKIP- BACK TO BASE

"Stick close, kid." I wrapped my larger hands around his

"Yoshi." He mumbled

"What?" Frustration was getting to me

"My name. Its Yoshi. Kirasaka Yoshi" He repeated, this time slightly louder

Pushing the door to the meeting room open, I found the rest of the members silently seated. "Well guys, I found this gaki and I couldn't leave him alone okay? He claims that he was a captive so..."

"Anyways kid, let me show you around a little I guess. This are my friends: Shiho, Kaito, Hattori, Josuke and Tensho." I introduced with a smile.

"T-Tensho? Are you the famous inventor kid?" He beamed as he ran towards Tensho.

"Nice to meet you too, Yoshi-kun" Tensho gave a warm smile as he dug his hands into Yoshi's raven black hair, similar to mine.

"While you are here, you will be with me. But when it comes to meeting and all, shut your mouth and just sit beside me. If you need anything, look for Shiho. Shiho, please take care of him. Oh, and give him some food, he has been hungry for a while. For now, we need to plan." I gave Yoshi a light shove towards Shiho as I took my seat and the rest began to gather.

"We lost plenty of men and that isn't a good sign. Josuke, we need more. I don't care what it takes anymore, just get us more people. Only you have the triad connections so you have to work on it. Kaito and Hattori, could you train our men. They are very lacking of it, including physical training. Tensho, weapons and stuff are needed. I would do my best to get you whatever you need. As for Shiho, help us in terms of chemical warfare. I know, before you guys interrupt me. I know dirty bombs cause lasting damage. But that would be our last resort. Shiho, please." I instructed.

The meeting was adjourned.

Hey guys I'm so sorry I completely forgot about the updates. I have just finished my exams so hopefully towards the end of the year, this would go way smoother. Probably a double update soon as well for dragging it for so long. Sorry guys!
