I quickly bent down to pick up the eggs I dropped at the same time Chris did, bumping my big ass forehead on to his.
Girl calm yo ass down. Acting like you never been around the male species before. I thought.
"Sorry about that." I groaned as I held my head.
"Its all good mama. I'm sure my head will stop hurting eventually." He stressed.
"Is that shade? Cause I mean if it is , we can fight."
He looked at me with a blank stare and laughed sarcastically.
"Take my threats seriously." I demanded while throwing the eggs away.
"Coming from a woman standing at 5'2? Yeah. Ok."
"5'2 and a half. Give me my half. Anywho. I have a Mac book that you can use to look for a job and all."
"Ok cool." He looked at me in my eyes and his face softened up a bit.
"Once again, I really appreciate everything you're doing for me. Seriously."
He leaned over to hug me and when I tell you I melted in his arms. I felt so protected, safe, and he just felt so good. I closed my eyes and took in his scent. For some reason my knees went weak.
"Whoa, you good?" he asked while holding me up.
"Huh? Yeah. Im good. No problem." I caught my balance and straightened myself up.
"Im gonna go get ready for work. But help yourself to anything."

I watched her walk to the bathroom and smiled. Shes a beautiful woman but I cant be focused on that right now. I need to get on my feet. Then maybe I'll be able to approach her properly. I fixed my plate and sat at the table to eat. I started thinking about my life and how it spiraled outta control within 3 years. I wanted to find my mom just to make sure she was okay.
"Hey, I'm about to head out. The mac is in the living room. If you need anything just call me on this phone." She stated while pulling out an extra phone.
"Gotcha."
"Alright. Gotta get going. See you later." She said as a smile graced her face.
"Alright then."
I watched her leave the house. I got up and went job searching.
"Lets seeeeeee....."
