I tried to ignore the banging on the door and fall back asleep but I couldn't.
"Baby , you want me to go get that?" Chris asked in that morning voice. You know that voice. Deep, sexy, sensual shit.
I sighed knowing what or who rather, was behind that door.
"No I'll get it."
"You sure ? You sound annoyed"
"Sky is here. Which means trouble normally."
"Oh hell nah. She ain't coming to fuck my boy life up then leave." He said as he hopped up and threw a shirt on. I grabbed my robe outta my room and put it on while walking behind him.
He opened the door to see Sky & Egypt.
"Ouuu hey how you doin?" She said flirting. Aight Sky. Chill.
"Stop that. You think that's sexy and it's not." Chris said with a blank face while grabbing my waist.
She looked between us. "Cousin this you?"
"All day everyday." Chris said cutting her off.
I saw Egypt and went to pick him up as he reached up with his tiny hands and grabbed my neck.
"Hey my baby ! I missed you sooooo much!" I said while kissing his face over and over.
Sky walked passed me. No hello or anything.
"Damn this place is laid cousin."
Hello to you too Sky.
"Thanks."
Egypt looked at Chris puzzled as to who he was. Chris looked back at Egypt and started making funny faces. After a while I heard a fit of giggles coming from Egypt.
"Babe I'll take him in the room and we can go watch Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles." Chris said.
I rolled my eyes. Starting to hate that cartoon. He grabbed Egypt and went into the room.
I turned and sat on the couch .
"Okay cousin. Got ya little place. Little boy toy. You cute. Mm. But how long that's gonna last?"
"What do you mean?"
"C'mon cous. Look at him. That man is fine. Then look at you. Still.. big. You got a manageable face but overall both of you together would only bring mockery. Men like that won't take women like you seriously. Just tryna look out as usual."
Before I could open my mouth, Tyler walked through the door.
"Good morning best friend . Where the food at?"
He looked at Sky and anger flashed his face.
"Hey Ty." She said coyly .
"Bye hoe."
"Aww still holding on to that hurt baby?"
"Girl fuck you. Reign lemme know when you done taking ya trash out." He said never taking his eyes off of Sky as he walked out the door.
"Attitude. Anyway cousin I need a favor, I need you to watch Egypt for a minute. I'm going to handle some business."
"Business? Who you know out here besides family?"
"I'm tryna get me and Egypt lives straight so we can be set. I can't take him with me to the meeting. Just for a few hours. His stuff is all in that bag." She pointed you the bag on the floor by the door.
"Fine. 3 hours tops. Anything passed that I'm calling you back to back." I love Egypt don't get me wrong but he's not my responsibility.
"Ok thank you so much cous." She said hurriedly and rushed out the door.
I walked to my room where I could see Chris and Egypt all into the tv.
"Where's Sky?"
"Going to handle business. Gave her 3 hours. That's enough time."
He nodded.
I suddenly got a bad feeling but shook it off. I hopped in the bed next to them and watched tv until I drifted back to sleep.
