ok, first one shot! I'm so excited!

Anyway, this oneshot is modern au.

Snotlout and his family are staying at the Haddock's house while their house is being renovated.

Anyway, Hiccup and Astrid come back to Hiccup's house and they get a very interesting welcoming.

I suggest having 'take a chance on me' by ABBA ready to play. I'll tell you when you should start playing it.

Hiccup opened the door to his ute and stepped out, his prosthetic foot clinking on the pavement.

Astrid got out as well and walked around to the back of the car. When she opened the boot, a black labrador and a grey Australian shepherd jumped out and chased each other up the driveway and onto the lawn in the front yard.

Hiccup waited for his girlfriend to join him before he started walking towards the house.

" so after we put the dogs out the back, we'll head out to the movies and meet up with Rose and-" Hiccup got cut off by Astrid shoving her hand over his mouth.

She put her finger to her lips, telling him to be quiet.

" where's that music coming from? She whispered.

Astrid felt something moist touch her hand. Squeeling, she removed her hand from Hiccup's mouth and wiped it on his shirt.

" EW!EW!EW!EW!EW! Why did you lick my hand?!" She continued wiping her hand on Hiccup's shirt.

He shrugged. " only way to get you to get your hand off my face."

She looked up and stopped wiping her hand on his shirt. Hiccup yelped as her fist connected with his shoulder.

" ow! What did you do that for?" He asked, rubbing his shoulder.

" payback." She said simply.

He shook his head, laughing at his violent girlfriend.

"Anyway," she turned towards the house. " where's that music coming from?" She asked.

The two could faintly hear music being played from inside the house.

Hiccup shrugged. " mom probably got home early from work. You know she loves her music."

Astrid took a step toward the house. " yeah, but I don't think the animal shelter would let her off this early. They're having heaps of dogs and cats coming in lately." She stepped back towards Hiccup.

Hiccup whistled for the two dogs that were rolling around under the sprinkler. The labrador and the shepherd stood up and shook the water from their fur.

" Toothless! Stormfly! Heel!" He yelled.

The two dogs trotted up to their owners and shook the remaining water from their fur, all over Hiccup and Astrid.

Wiping water from her arms, Astrid looked back up to the house." Maybe it's Snotlout's mom who's playing the music." She suggested, looking back at Hiccup.

He had slipped over on his prosthetic, and fallen onto his back in the dirt. Toothless stood over him, licking him.

" TOOTHLESS! THAT DOESN'T WASH OUT!" Hiccup squirmed under Toothless.

Astrid giggled and walked up to them. Grabbing Toothless' collar, he dragged him away from Hiccup and lead him towards where her Australian Shepherd, Stormfly, was. The two dogs then started chasing each other around again.

Astrid turned to see Hiccup was already up on his feet and wiping dog slobber off of his face.

" come on horrendous. We'll go and put the dogs out the back." Astrid had started to walk towards the side gate where the dogs were waiting.

" I told you not to call me that!" Hiccup yelled after her.

Astrid turned around, laughing. " well you call me 'm'lady.'"

Hiccup huffed and walked past her towards the gate. He unlocked it and the dogs ran into the backyard, out of sight.

He locked the gate back up and turned towards the house.

The closer they got to the house, the clearer the music was. It was defiantly 'take a chance on me' by ABBA.

By the time they got to the front door, the music was blaring.

Hiccup grabbed the keys from his back pocket and unlocked the door.

What they saw was very, VERY disturbing!

Snotlout was dancing around the hall, only in his socks and boxers, and singing at the top of his lungs.

" HONEY I'M STILL FREE! TAKE A CHANCE ON ME!" He rocked his hips back and forth to the beat of the music.

" Snotlout! Put some pants on!" Hiccup yelled, covering Astrid's eyes. Snotlout didn't hear him over the volume of the music.

Astrid batted Hiccup's hand away and walked into the house. She marched over to the C.D player and pressed eject.

Snotlout opened his eyes and looked over to Hiccup who was leaning in the doorway, trying his best not to laugh. He them moved his gaze over to Astrid, who was holding the C.D in her hands and smirking.

" ABBA, huh?" She giggled, examining the C.D in her hands. " the complete collection." She looked up to see Snotlout's face.

He was mortified!

He finally recovered from his shock and marched over to Astrid, snatching the C.D from her hands. He pointed a thick finger towards her, then Hiccup.

" don't you DARE tell the twins! They'll post it on their dumb YouTube channel and I'll never hear the end of it!" He was going bright red now.

Hiccup spoke up. " don't worry, cuz, your secret is safe with us." He looked up from under his bangs. " and P.S, put some pants on."

Snotlout looked down, only just realising what he was wearing, looked at Astrid, then ran up stairs.
