I knew the answer I gave him, was a mistake. A mistake he'll probably will use to get whatever he wants. Because, well firstly we're not friends, secondly... we're not friends and thirdly... nope you guessed wrong, we're ABSOLUTELY not friends. But I still gave him an answer that probably made him in the upper hand.

"Well, where is the car then?"

Then he smirked

Later on, when we got to the place where he parked his beautifully dangerous car. I directly dialed Jessica and she came and sat on the back with me. But he never called her, nor did he text her, I believe. So it was us three on his car. I got to say the car got to be expensive as hell, a breathtaking black car. But of course, it's probably easy for him to get whatever he pleads for, typical rich kid after all. I know I may sound judgmental but I. Am. Not. I am just pointing out how expensive the car must be.

The way to my house was a quiet awkward drive. Where none of us talked about anything, the only sound was the engine from the car. I was to my left side, and just peeked out through the window. Watching and counting each lamp that we passed by, but I also checked on Jessica, who was sitting to my right. Leaning her head to the window beside her with her eyes closed, she passed out.

As my eyes checked on her, I felt two eyes were on me, I looked up at the rear-view mirror and I saw two blue grayish eyes locked with mine. His eyes are really beautiful, something you can not deny and they somehow lured my eyes to keep on watching him. I suddenly felt that my eyes were stuck somewhere my mind didn't want to be locked with. So I directly interrupted the eye contact and looked out the window again.

I don't know why, but I could hear and feel my heart pacing more and stronger. This is an abnormal symptom for something. Just looking at his eyes made me react in a strong way. I don't know what's happening but I better keep my eyes away from his and so I did during the whole 10 minutes ride, but it felt like a 360 days ride.

Finally, he pulled over to the side. I jumped off and went to the right side of the car, to help Jessica get off the car. Because she is unstable right now after her I-don't-know-how-many-drinks-I-drank moment. But watching her sleep like this made me wanna leave her like that and get the peace, but I couldn't I needed to wake her up.

"Jessica... we're home"

"Noo...." She groaned and opened her eyes

"Yess... come on wake up, I am going to help you to get inside so come on"

She obeyed directly and hugged my shoulders so that she could balance but she was getting heavy on me because she was unsteady.

"Can you do it?" I heard a voice behind me

"Yeahh" I answered back not looking back and kept on walking with Jessica to my left.

"You know—" when I turned my head to see him, he was gone. I only saw the darkness of the night, the only thing shining so bright except for my porch lamps, was the full moon.

I didn't even hear his car start up or drive away? But what confused me was why he left. I don't know why but that somehow made me feel bad, as if I got hurt by him leaving without saying 'goodbye'.

I just turned my face back to the front door and opened up and went inside with Jessica by my side.

When we entered I lied Jessica on the couch in the living room so that it could be easier for me to hear her from the kitchen while I made tea for me and for her in case she wanted something hot to drink.

"Sweetie?" I heard an older woman's voice who I heard since the day I was born. I turned around to see her and smiled

"Hey mama" I went to hug her and she hugged me back. Jessica always tells me how fun I must have when I'm alone at home and that she wished she had a life like that. But I don't, I wish that I had my mom by my side more often. To hear her when I get back from school, to see her before I go to bed. But I can't because she wants to raise money to me so that I could continue with college later on.

"How are you doing? And I saw Jessica laying on the couch"

"Well, um... I'm okay, Jessica lost her... her gramma today..." my moms eyes widened and held her hand around her mouth

"What?! What happened?"  Her eyes wandered after my movements to get the heated water off the stove.

"Uhh I don't know yet, I haven't really asked what happened and so. I found h—" she cut me off my sentence

"Her drunk? Yeah I could smell her" she said, but not sounding judgement. That's what I loved about my mom she was an understanding person.

"Hmph yeah" I said as a tiny smile creeped in and I started to pour the hot water into the cup and fixed a tea and gave my cup away to mom.

"Thank you, but what about you?"

"It'a okay" I said and she smiled and went to our kitchen table and sat down

"Does Mrs.Blakely know about Jessica being drunk right now?"

"Uhh I-I don't think so" she put her cup down and exhaled as she continued with her talking

"Look sweetheart, I know that she is hurting. I understand that for sure, and I am not judging her because people have their own way to grieve. But she is underage and I know for sure that she didn't buy them of the stores. So where did she go?"

"I know mum, I know. Well I didn't know at first that she had lost her gramma until her mother called me to check up on us and then she mentioned about them losing gramma. So I went on with the role and told her that she was here with me. But then afterwards I went and brought her here"

"Brought her from where?"

"Mum..."

"Hope..."

"She was in the Dark Angel bar" I said looking down

"Ughh... of course" We were quiet which felt like forever. That bar have bad rumors. About underaged people having access for drinks and girls sometimes getting in a bad situations.

Then she interupted the quietness

"Hope, look at me" I slowely looked up

"It's okay, but just please don't get in there back again. It's not safe alright?" I nodded as I held her hand that was across me laid on the table.

After the talk with my mother, we went our seperate ways. She went upstairs to her room and I went to the living room and fixed a maddress there so that I could sleep well.

Laying down, my mind went from thinking if I should skip school and stay the day with Jessica to Alexander. Thinking if his action did hurt me or if I am overreacting. I'm probably overreacting, I mean come on it's Alexander. A guy I don't even care about and same goes to him. As I was overthinking my eyelids started to get heavy on me, everything turned black.
