The end is getting closer. The normal hermit's will soon be able to go home..... But how?

Swap!Ren's POV:

I breathed carefully as the arrow slipped through the bow.

The arrow sprung off the string of the bow and cut through the air.

I held my breath as the arrow dug itself deeply into the skull of the crystal beast with a loud crunch and crack that almost went directly through its skull.

A smile started to form across my face, but when the creature turned its head at a 180 degree turn towards me I froze up.

The creature let out a drawn out laugh that grew in its malicious intensity as my tail went between my ears and my ears drooped down.

 The creature looked at me.

" You think a simple arrow can kill me? That is the most stupidest way to end an antagonist." it laughed as it ripped the arrow out of its skull and threw it to the side like it was nothing.

I let out a whimper as I changed to my sword, " It... It caused some damage though." I whispered as my throat felt like it was being choked by the sheer power of intimidation itself.

The creature laughed again, " A simple weapon through the skull could kill a human lifeform.... I, however, can survive even without my head." it grinned as Grian fired an arrow through its chest. The creature looked back at him.

" What about through your heart?" he questioned as he readied another arrow. The creature snarled at him, " Not even through the heart." it snorted as it turned its back to me. I narrowed my eyes.

The creature had a large crystal slowing forming along its back. That could be its weakness.

I readied my bow and looked at Grian.

Grian noticed that I was getting my weapon ready; he kept talking, " What about through your leg?" Grian questioned as the creature grew madder. It shook its head.

" You are such an idiot. You may even be dumber than your own counterpart!" the beast shouted in hatred as Grian shrugged his shoulders.

Grian dodged a strike from the beast, " It takes a Grian to know a Grian I suppose." he smirked as he kept dodging the crystal beast.

I smirked and changed the arrow to an exploding arrow. It was a new invention created the D-team during the beginnings of the war. I fired the arrow and the same scenario repeated.

The arrow slipping through the bow, it cutting through the air, and finally....

 Crack!

It dug itself into the back of the beast. The thing roared and snapped around to look at me. The creature hissed.

" How dare you....." its entire body started to flash as it stared at me. I gave the monster a weakening smirk.

The monster started to grow unstably as it moved closer to me; its eyes glowing in intensity. I started to walk backwards, " Do you realize how stupid you are?" it questioned as I shrugged my shoulders.

" My stupidity is my own. No one truly understands it." I replied as the creature got closer.

The flashing started to increase as I slowly came to realize what was going on. The beast was a bomb now. I set off a freaking bomb, and now this thing was going to die and take me with it.

I kept walking backwards until I hit a wall. The creature stared me down with a satisfied expression, " You managed to kill me Rendog.... Congratulations." it clapped sarcastically as my ears shot down.

" Uh... Ah.... Hm... " I stumbled to find my words as the creature looked at me.

The creature's grin grew to unbelievable lengths, " Though now you're going to die an agonizing death of crunching bones and black lung. There with also be some crystallization in your mouth, heart, and veins...... but that's not that important." The creature's malevolent grin only sharpened as it described my end.

This couldn't be the end though.

I kept staring in frozen stillness as the flashing started to blind me. There was a shout from Grian as a loud explosion came from over head.

The next feeling I had was being lifted up into the air.

My ears were still whited out as I barked out of panic and remained frozen in order to not fall out of whoever was holding me.

The blinding feeling still didn't go away as I felt the wind slap against my perked up ears.

I looked around as my vision tried to return to normal. I saw the familiar blue coloring of an eyepatch.

" Iskall?" I questioned as the figure that rescued me nodded. Iskall flew through the sky towards what I assumed was the D-team base.

He let out a sigh, " Grian and I managed to escape with you right as the beast exploded into a million bits. Grian took a nasty blow through the leg, but he was more concerned on getting you out. I mean, the beast gave you the blindness ailment as it was starting to blow up." I nodded slowly.

My eyesight still wasn't back as we landed at the D-team base. I was carried inside by Iskall and probably brought to the med bay were the others were waiting.
