When she came home that night, she eyed a star within the clouds. Not just a star, but a shooting star. She wished for herself to find happiness. A life where she could be free, away from the things that stopped her.

For once she would try to get herself together and see if she could make it.

He almost made her feel as though she could live and withstand life. It suddenly hit her with confusion. She felt like she knew who he was. Although it was unbelievable in reality, she still never asked for his name, for the moment felt so unreal.

She put the thought aside as she took a deep breath. The air was chilly after the rain. Her eyes diverted from the sky to her home.

A place she didn't want to go.

A place she wished to avoid.

But still, it tied her down. Leaving was inevitable.

As she opened the door, she saw the house a complete mess. She had no time to clean and was only nagged by her father.

Speaking of him, her eyes moved towards a figure laid cold still on the tattered couch. Noisy snores came from him, a man of short temper who she could not stand.

She gritted her teeth for someone so intolerable. It made her remember why her mother left her alone.

To think she never brought her along with her. A tear fell from her eyes again.

Why were you born so weak?

She wondered as she picked up a ripped wedding picture from the floor, with only her dad in it.

She took it and crumpled up the picture.

If it was possible, I would change time, not just reverse it. But I'm living in a time where it moves forward not backwards. To think how different things would be if I could stop it.
