If you're a fan of science fiction in the tradition of Arthur C. Clarke, you will love this novel.

Realistic hi-tec, thoroughly researched, engaging characters and aliens that are more than just a greenish extension of our own species come together in a thrilling ride to the stars, a journey that happens a lot earlier than it should have.

How that?

Well, imagine a web of alien worlds, alien minds patiently watching civilisations on other planets in their struggle to reach the stars.

Not all will make it.

But among those who do is planet Earth.

Its inhabitants are looking out into space, a vast uncharted territory of worlds all of them barren and dead. Project SETI has been searching for signals for over 200 years. There had been a few tantalising bits of radio or radar energy received, but nothing ever has proven to be of intelligent origin.

Humanity in the year 2166 feels very lonely indeed.

What they don't know is that there are many eyes on their planet. The prime directive of the "Web of Worlds" is to ensure that no developing civilisation be contacted until that civilisation made it into interstellar space on their own.

That has so far taken at least 1,000 years or more to go from steam to the atom, and none had made it from the atom to a sublight stardrive in less than 5,000 standard years.

Well, the first interplanetary fusion ships are on their way, exploring the solar system ships approaching 0.1c. At that speed, human-crewed flight to even the nearest stars will take a lifetime.

No problem for the watchers. They have another 10.000 years. They are patient.

What they haven't reckoned with, is humanity's ingeniousness.

A beautiful engineer and a brilliant physicist stumbled upon an artificial gravity field which will make a faster than light drive possible.

All of a sudden, the path to the stars is open.

And then, there is contact.

Earthrise 2176 is fascinating as it tells a story that COULD be possible. No clichés, no tropes just solid science and even more solid characters.

Science Fiction at its best.

Earthrise 2176 is intriguing, thrilling,well-written and will take you on a great ride. The story has been #1 in Science Fiction various times and is a Wattpad Featured Novel.
