"Can an angel save the Devil?

Or will she lose her soul to him?"

Diavolo is an adult fiction romance book, written by uxecila. It touches upon themes of mafia, violence, and a sizzling romance between a morally bound doctor, Elyse, and a newly appointed capo, Alessandro.

Elyse is a thirty-something doctor, barely making it through life, as she struggles to get free of her father's debts to the mafia. She does someone a great favor, when she saves him one night by treating him at her house.

And when she is invited to live a life which could help her get rid of all her troubles, she hesitantly accepts, but doesn't realize that she is walking right into the arms of the devil.

The so-called Devil, Alessandro, is the newly appointed head of a mafia organization, and wants Elyse close to him from the night she saves his life. He is cold, and ruthless, just like any mafia member, but is still a human being, and the author has taken great pains to remind us of that.

It is the sizzling chemistry of the leads, which takes the reader's breath away; and then it is the vulnerability, and the gradual change in perspective, which hooks them to this book. The author has painted the characters in a good, as well as bad light, and does not shy to reveal the true nature and traits of human beings. It is in fact, so natural and believable, that they do not feel like mere characters that have sprung from somebody's imagination.

Every single instance delivered in the book, though not relatable in our relatively normal lives, still hits home, and mirrors our emotions and states of mind. The author has used her personal life experiences, and instances, to create her characters with deeply set flaws, and a gritty attitude. Her love for happy endings has also led her to give the airiness a dark mafia romance book needs.

Sizzling, sexy, mature, and flawed, Diavolo has it all. It is the perfect read for winters, being curled up in bed with a mug of delicious coffee, as we lose ourselves in the world of the most perfect, yet imperfect personalities.
