Eliza was already dressed and up when Angelica came into her room.

"Liz, you ready?" Angie asked, excitement in her voice.

"Y-Yeah! Sorry it took so long, I'm just really nervous...,"  Eliza spoke, her hands shaking.

"Don't be! It'll be fine, just follow the plan," Angelica said confidently.

Eliza took a deep breath in. She kept breathing heavily until she felt calmer.

"Y-Yeah....The plan," Eliza said, rehashing the plan in her head, going over every step.

Eliza fixed up her dress for the 10th time that day and head out towards the ballroom. Angelica followed swiftly.

     ---------------------------------------☆

When they arrived, many people were gathered in the ballroom, making it extraordinarily crowded. Phillip, as per usual, barely noticed his daughter's existence, even as she stood next to him just a couple feet away.

Phillip picked up a glass of wine and a spoon. He clinked the glass with the spoon, and the entire crowd stood silent before their king.

"I have gathered you all tonight to celebrate my second daughter, Elizabeth." He motioned towards Eliza. "Tonight, she will find a husband, a remarkable and important decision. Men, she will pick one of you to dance with. She will announce who her new fiancee will be at the end of the feast. All right! Men, you may now compete for her hand," Phillip said as Eliza rolled her eyes.

Eliza walked over to her sister trying to stay out of sight of all the eyes that would be on her.

"Is it just me or is he acting like this is some sort of sport?" Eliza said, annoyed. Angelica nodded.

"Sis, I'd  love to talk, but you have to get out there, ok? Good luck!" Angelica said hastily.

Eliza walked over to one of the men and started to dance with him. She was only 3 minutes into dancing and she already wanted it to be over. She hoped that this plan would work, or she would end up marrying one of these morons.

     ---------------------------------------☆

John stood with the rest of the staff, waiting for the feast to finally begin. He was just about to drift to sleep when-

"Hey! Wake up and do your job!" one of the other waiters said to him.

     He nearly jumped.

"Y-Yeah...," John said while grabbing a tray of food into the dining hall.

He had been setting up tables and food trays for what seemed like hours until they were finally done. People had started to gather in the dining hall, filling up all of the chairs and tables.

"Sneak in...sneak out....," John thought to himself. He breathed in heavily.

     ---------------------------------------☆

Eliza had just gotten done dancing wit the 34th guy that wanted so desperately to marry her. Yep, she had kept count. Her father had called everyone into the dining hall, Eliza being the last one to enter. Angelica, being across the room from Eliza, gave her a thumbs up.

Eliza looked over at the panel in the stone wall that she was gonna escape through. "Only a few more minutes...," she thought.

She had just sat down when she noticed a rather tall waiter with curly hair. She thought nothing of him. A piece of hair flew down from his ear onto his face.

Eliza quietly reminded herself that it was rude to stare. But then she noticed something.....his ears.

     ---------------------------------------☆

John was bent over, pouring a glass of wine. He was slowly beginning to feel okay. He was finally at ease....until....

The bit of hair covering his pointed ears had fallen into his face. The one bit of protection he had was gone.

"Shit!" he whisper-shouted, fixing his hair over his ears again. He looked around hoping no one had noticed, until he saw her. A girl in a white dress and raven hair, had stood still, staring at him.

     ---------------------------------------☆

John took the wine tray and stayed walking fast towards the door that lead out to the hallway. He tried to look casual, not like he was freaking the hell out.

Eliza started to follow after him. She didn't know if she was just seeing things or he was an actual elf...

He started to walk faster but Eliza was soon directly behind him.

     "Sir...?" she called out. "Sir!"

John  pretended not to hear her. He told himself to keep walking. Don't stop for anything. Just keep walking.

Eliza had swiftly ran in front of him. John didn't realize it until-

They crashed into eachother, spilling wine everywhere.
