(Sorry for the long wait in between chapters, everyone!)
Not only had there been wine everywhere, but John had landed directly on top of Eliza.
John was still, and ended up just staring down at Eliza blankley. Shocked, Eliza stared up at him until eventually pushing him aside.
"Ugh..!" Eliza said, trying to get some of the wine off of her dress.
John covered up his ears again, hoping desperately that she had forgotten about them. John stood up, bringing Eliza with him.
"I-I'm so sorry miss!" John said, still playing the part of a waiter. "I could go get you some towels if you would like! I'll just be right ba-"
"No, no, it's ok. Just-...escort me to my room?" Eliza said, cutting him off. She realized what he was doing. She couldn't just let him escape like that. She was smarter than that.
"....Of course," John said, annoyed.
John pretended to know his way around, up until he took a wrong turn.
"That's the wrong way," Eliza said in a skeptical tone. John started breathing heavily, turning the other direction.
"That's also the wrong way- you know what? Just follow me..," Eliza said while grabbing John's arm harshly.
Eliza led him into several corridors and hallways until they finally reached her room. She looked around the hall just in case anyone was looking. She swiftly shoved John into the room, walking in. She locked the door behind her.
"What the hell was that for!?" John said, before realizing who he was talking to. Eliza glared at him and ignored him.
"Sir, can you please move your hair a little? Away from your ears," Eliza said, phrasing her question as a demand.
John's eyes widened. He inched further away from her, to the point where his back was to the wall.
"A-And why would I need to d-do that?" He asked, fear prominent in his voice.
Eliza's eyes narrowed.
"Please. You can get out of here a lot quicker if you do," she spoke coldly.
John hesitantly moved the only source of protection he had from the outside world, revealing his pointed ears. Eliza and John stared at eachother for what seemed like a while. John looked down, ashamed of himself.
"Y-you're-" Eliza tried to speak, but she couldn't quite find the courage to say anything else.
"Yeah...," John whispered. He was so quiet he was barely able to be heard.
John was trembling, and Eliza could tell. Her eyes softened.
"Hey! Hey, it's ok. I'm not going to hurt you, ok? My name is Eliza" She said reassuringly while holding out her hand.
"M-My name's John. And Really..?" He said shaking her hand.
"Yeah- yeah. B-But my father might. He's not to...erm....friendly with elves..," she said worried as she finally thought about Phillip and what he might do to John.
John let out a little laugh.
"Yeah, I'm pretty sure your kingdom has it out for people like me. I had to witness one of those "Elf Hunts" these people do," he spoke, relieved.
"Heh....yeah....," Eliza said guiltily.
"Sooooo....are you gonna get me out of here or...," John said looking up at the ceiling awkwardly. Eliza blushed hard with embarrassment.
"O-Of course! Just follow me- and don't make a noise. I'm not supposed to be here right now."

Eliza had changed into a nightgown and wrapped a cloak around her shoulders. She grabbed a candle and lit it, illuminating the hallway.
"Ok, the hallway is clear," she whispered to John.
John nodded, following behind Eliza. She led him through the castle until she reached the dining hall where everyone was seated. She peered through the door when suddenly she saw Angelica approach the it. Eliza shoved John around the corner. Angelica opened the door.
"There you are Liz!" she chuckled. "Father's getting really worked up in there. Anyways, I'm glad you got out in time! You might want to leave though, I'm pretty sure He'll screech even louder if he sees you," Angelica said with a smile on her face.
"Yeah ok alright that's great! Y'know I'm just gonna leave-...," Eliza said inching away.
"Wait! Before you go, I want you to be careful, ok? The guards noticed that one of the waiters just vanished, and they're pretty sure it's an elf or something. It's probably nothing, but just keep your eyes open, alright?" Angelica cautioned.
"oK," Eliza said, her voice squeaky. John's breathing got fast as Angelica walked back into the dining hall.
Eliza led John away from the door.
"Great! Just great!" Eliza said practically hyperventilating.
"Hey! It'll be okay! All we have to do is sneak out, right?" He asked.
"No! There are guards stationed all over the castle at night, and now that they think there's an elf loose, there will probably be even more of them than usual!" She whisper-screamed.
"Shit-...," John said under his breath.
Eliza took a deep breath in and out. "Here. I guess I'll just sneak you back into my room? I'm going to have to hide you someway."
John nodded as he followed Eliza back to her room. She made sure to lock her door, just in case anyone came in and saw John. She set up a makeshift bed out of pillows and blankets for John to sleep on.
Eliza blew out the candle, blowing smoke around the room.
"Goodnight, John," she said softly.
"Night, Lizzie," he whispered back to her. Eliza smiled at this, as no one usually called her "Lizzie" anymore.
"And thank you for everything," John said, smiling.
