As I walked along the sidewalk, I expected no one to see me being that I was on an empty part of town. But someone did. I first saw the pair of eyes after I was a few steps past the last gas station. With nothing around me, they were easy to spot. I glanced to my right and saw a field empty except for some weeds and a wreck car. The eyes had landed within the backseat of the car. I glanced along the road and did not see a car within a five-mile radius. Good to know that I can take care of this privately, I thought. I walked a couple of feet further before deciding to casually step in the field. I walked slowly yet steadily towards the eyes. You can't run away from me, I thought. I felt every step towards the car, feeling each pressing of dirt against the sole of my shoe.
