Her smile appears as if in cue, she had practiced it and hoped it was convincing.

"Where have you been?" Tina asks with furrowed brows.

"Oh," Sam smiles, she hadn't rehearsed this part. "I was uh," she smile lightly fades, "Sick."

Tina's brows return to normality, "I'm glad you're feeling better," Sam nods.

"We should celebrate," Tina's eyes light up and sparkle with excitement.

Sam frowns, "Huh?"

Tina's arms over her chest, "You didn't die!" She giggles, "It's call for a celebration!"

"I don't think-"

"Tommy!" Tina runs to Tommy who was talking to Carol, "Party's on tonight!"

Tommy smiles, "Sick." He turns to Carol as Sam approaches them, "We'll spread the news, it can be at mine."

Sam furrows her brows and shakes her head, "Tina I don't-"

"Bull. I wanted to get shit faced anyway, we might as well!" Tina exclaims happily.

Sam sighs and runs a hand through her hair, "You're right." It's monotone but she attempts to smile, "I'll see you all tonight."

Tina grabs her arm and drags her to walk with her, "It's been a while since we've had fun together, huh?"

Sam smiles sadly, I used to be so fucking fun. "Yeah,"

Tina raises her brow, "Will Billy make an appearance?"

Sam shrugs, "Maybe."

Time wiggles her brows, "I'm gonna get you so wasted, you're gonna remember what you're missing out on." Tina smiles mischievously.

Sam swallows a gulp and nods, "You gotta promise to take care of me."

"Always." Tina giggles, "That's how we started talking, remember?"

Sam smiles sadly, "Yeah, that's asshole was trying to touch me." She rolls her eyes.

"And I kicked his balls!" Tina laughs loudly, "Poor idiot never messed with you again."

Sam smiles genuinely, "Thanks for that by the way," Sam turns to Tina, "Thanks for being there."

Tina smiles and lightly hits Sam's arm, "Hey, don't go all soft on me." Tina giggles, "Where's the bad bitch I met?"

Gone.

"Somewhere deep inside." Sam giggles, "Make me forget everything tonight."

Tina raises a brow and stops, turning to Sam. "Whenever you need it, hun."

Sam mimics her and raises her brow, "Promise?"

Tina's smile grows. "I promise."

Tina giggles and hugs Sam, surprising both both of them. "Thank you."

Sam hugs her back but furrows her brows, "For what?"

Tina smiles into the hug, "For being the sister I never had."

"You need to go," She slams her locker shut and turns to face him with a small frown.

"You're not going." He booms, his mind had already been set and no was something he wouldn't take.

Her jaw clenches, "And whats stopping me?" Her brow raises and she scoffs, "You?"

Billy rolls his eyes, "Sam I'm not letting you go and that's the end of it."

She laughs unhumorously and shakes her head before walking away.

She was not new to parties, she had been participating in them for years and Billy Hargrove was not going to be the reason she stopped attending them.

Every bone in Billy's body begs him to snap, grab her, tell her that's she's staying home and make sure she knows going to a stupid party wasn't happening.

But he doesn't.

Instead he sighs heavily and follows next to her, "I'm just trying to keep you safe-"

Her scoff interrupts, "Safe? You think theres going to be some crime scene?" She turns to him briefly with a bitter smile, "Oh and did you also threaten me to keep me safe?"

"You've haven't let me apologize-"

"Because I shouldn't have to!" She turns to him and shots daggers at him. "Because you shouldn't of done that in the first place!" She yells loudly, causing some people to look and whisper under their breaths.

Billy's jaw hardens and he turns to look at a nosey fucker who kept staring at them. The boy quickly looks away before garbing his stuff and quietly leaving.

He then turns to her, "Jesus Christ Sam, So what you're going back to being the little bitch you were?" He spits angrily.

She raises a brow and scoffs with a laugh, "Oh?" And shakes her head, "So I was a little bitch when you met me?"

Billy opens his mouth and sighs, "Sam, I didn't mean-"

"No, fuck you!" She shouts and storms off a few feet before turning around.

"You wanna follow me around like a lost fucking puppy?" She scoffs, "Fine." Her teeth clench quickly, "I'll be at that party tonight, follow me around there." With that she walks off.

Billy's fist slam against the nearest locker as his jaw ticks.
