Unknown x Reader I'm Sorry

She walked out twirling happily in her new dress, it flowed beautifully in the slight breeze, and was the most perfect shade of pastel pink. Her boyfriend smiled and came up behind her taking her hand. "Come on let's go." He said as he walked down the street.

"Can we sing our song?" (y/n) asked him smiling cutely hoping to convince him.

"We're in public-" he started but she cut him off.

"Please?" She pleaded, giving him her signature puppy eyes. He caved and nodded, she giggled before she began to sing.

He watched sadly as she continued twirling around while they walked. 'Yeah...I can't keep doing this' he thought, plastering a smile on his face and grabbing her hand gently as he sang his part of the song. His deep voice was a perfect contrast to her light and airy voice which seemed to light up the world.

They walked down the sidewalk singing, not minding if anyone heard them. They turned heads as the harmony radiated and everyone heard it.'I can't keep doing this to you.' He thought.They continued to walk looking like the average love-struck couple on a date. 'You were right. This isn't how it should be' He thought glumly, watching as his adorable girlfriend danced around the street as they walked not caring if anyone made fun of her.

He looked up and saw the clouds and pulled out his umbrella. "Oh, no....our date is ruined." She pouted, huddling under the umbrella. Hugging his arm, gently leaning on him to stay under the umbrella and not get wet.

'Do it now.' He told himself gulping as he grabbed her hand and lead her off to an area without other people.

"Huh, where are we going?" (y/n) looked up at him confused. He stayed silent, once they arrived he looked down at her.

"L-look," his voice wavered a frown growing on his face, already feeling his eyes getting wet. He tried his best to keep going but just couldn't handle doing it. He looked down and stayed silent his hand shaking.

"Where did your beautiful smile go?" She asked worriedly reaching up to touch his cheek. He slapped her hand looking away as she winced. He looked up a bit shocked looking at her face that showed fear but concern.

'This is right I have to keep going.' He thought 'I can't go back now. I can't keep doing this to you.'

"I don't love you anymore" he yelled out at her, barely able to stand the shocked and hurt look that crossed her face. He moved back, watching as the rain started to hit her back.

'Yeah, that's it. This is how it must be.' He thought, looking anywhere but her face. She stood there and began laughing awkwardly.

"Stop joking silly...come on let's go home I'm getting w-wet and it's starting to rain harder." She said softly starting to walk towards him.

"I never even loved you! I can't keep doing this!" He screamed gaining the attention of a couple of onlookers who gave her some sympathetic looks. She trembled and gave him a small smile.

"I-it's o-okay. We can-" she started feeling tears well up in her eyes, her throat closing as she swallowed back a sob. 'Why...? What's going on...' She thought

"No, we can't fix this!" He yelled moving even farther back as she started moving towards him to hug him.

"Whatever's happening I-I can h-help. We can make it through this." She said reaching her hand out once more only to be pushed back roughly. She stumbled, barely being able to keep her balance to stop from falling.

"No never not with you! Don't you get it?!" He yelled, making a hand motion with the hand that wasn't holding the umbrella above him and partly above her.

"W-we can f-fix this "No we can't!" They said in unison. Tears streamed up in her face, she felt like she was suffocating the rain starting to hit her in the head.

He started to walk away, not bothering to look back to see the girl who was in tears and getting soaked by now what seemed like a downpour. He never faltered in his walk, never stopping 'This is how it should be.' He thought not even thinking about what he had done. His head was empty his face emotionless far from the smile he had a few hours ago.

She looked up, letting the rain hit her face and disguise her tears. She brokenly started to sing the same song as earlier, her tone sadder, and a lot more stumbles as she tried to keep from crying. (Y/n) looked over at his disappearing figure. He stopped as he heard her sing, 'What am I doing....?' He thought before shaking his head 'No I can't keep doing this not to you.' He sighed and walked away, not bothering to hold the umbrella properly anymore.

(Y/n) hiccuped through the song and looked down, finally letting the tears and cries of pain come out. She was drowning, suffocating, however you want to call it. She could barely breathe as she ran, not looking where she was going or who was around her. He watched her run away he turned away continuing to walk before giving the crying, soaked girl one last glance.

His eyes widened and he began to run back "WAIT!" He screamed out, reaching his hand out, to grab her dropping the umbrella in the process.

Happy memories from before flashed through his mind, tears running down his face. He watched the whole scene play out before sinking to his knees.

"I-I'm sorry......" He whispered curling up on the ground.
