Days had turned into weeks and weeks into months. Cloud was a depressed mess, (Y/n) was the only thing that kept him going and without her, everything seemed pointless. He wandered the land in search of a way to bring her back. There had to be a way to bring her back, there just had to, he couldn't lose her so easily.

"Cloud! Cloud!" Tifa called out loudly, running over towards him. He could tell she was excited, about what, he didn't care unless it would help (Y/n). "I think we found it!"

Cloud shot up, he stood up grabbing Tifa's arms tightly, "Really? You're not lying?" He asked excitedly, if Tifa was lying he didn't know what he would do. If she was telling the truth he could finally be reunited with (Y/n). She had died unfairly, she was the sweetest girl who didn't deserve to die.

"Yes of course! We're bringing citizens now!" Tifa said, grabbing Cloud's arm and dragging him out of the room. Tifa loved Cloud but she knew there would be no way he would love her back. He loved (Y/n) intensely and no one else could be in his heart other than her, dead or alive. Tifa held no ill will towards (Y/n) she was kind and gentle and the best friend. For the sake of both of them she vowed to help Cloud bring (Y/n) back. "Yuffie is already bringing (Y/n) over,"

This was the most energetic Cloud had been in a while. Ever since (Y/n)'s death, he was quiet and solemn not really talking to anyone if he didn't have to. The two ran over to the church where Cloud had met Aerith. "What are we doing here?" He asked, this church never brought back great memories.

"It's here," Tifa explained as she dragged Cloud inside. Inside was the church with the floorboards ripped up, everyone that was affected by the Geostigma were all bathing in the water beneath the church floor. His eyes widened as he watched people's geostigma heal as soon as the water touched them.

"What.....what if it doesn't bring (Y/n) back?" Cloud asked stiffly, if this didn't bring (Y/n) back he didn't know what would. Cloud's mind was filled with doubtful thoughts, what if it didn't work, what if it did but she was still sick?

"We have to try," TIfa said, patting his back and bringing him over to where Yuffie was next to (Y/n)'s body which was on a stretcher. The group had worked hard to keep her body safe in the hospital to up their chances of bringing her back. The doctors had assured them that there was no way to bring a dead person back.

Cloud looked at (Y/n)'s body, a peaceful smile rested on her face, "Please don't leave me (Y/n)," he whispered as he picked her up bridal style and walked over towards the lake of water and slowly went in. He stood (Y/n) up so she was completely submerged in the water except for her head.

Everyone watched the scene intensely, they all held some hope that they could bring their friend back. Everything had finally calmed down and they couldn't imagine living a peaceful life without (Y/n).

Cloud looked down at (Y/n) hopeful, he held her tightly, "Please......please work," he mumbled, minutes felt like hours and he was starting to lose hope. Tears slid down not only his face but Tifa's and Yuffie's as they watched (Y/n)'s lifeless body there in Cloud's arms. "(Y/n)....please...." He cried as he held her closer.

Cloud cried, holding his girlfriend close, he cried and cried laying his head on her shoulder. Why did things always have to happen to him? Why was it always him? "C......C.....Cl..." a soft raspy voice tried to speak from below him. Her voice was barely audible and Cloud looked up wondering if he had heard right. (Y/n)'s arms weakly lifted up in an attempt to hold Cloud.

Cloud stiffened looking down surprised at (Y/n) to see her weakly holding her eyes, "Cl......oud...." She managed to say before coughing, her throat was so dry it was hard to speak. Her body was weak from not moving for so long and she could barely hold herself up.

"Yes (Y/n)!" Cloud said excitedly as he held her tightly. This was happening, (Y/n) was back, she was here again.

His sudden shouts startled Yuffie who looked up and saw (Y/n) hugging Cloud. "It worked Tifa!" Yuffie yelled pointing at how Cloud was holding (Y/n) tightly and she was weakly holding him back.

"I love you (Y/n) please don't leave me again," Cloud rambled as he helped (Y/n) out of the water sitting her on the ledge and hugging her waist tightly. (Y/n) said nothing but held her back, stroking his hair comfortingly. How she was back was beyond her, but whatever the reason she was grateful for the miracle.

Tifa looked up surprised as tears clouded her vision, it had worked, it really worked. Tifa and Yuffie cried of joy, happy that their best friend was back. Cloud cried from both disbelief and and joy to have (Y/n) back, he had many sleepless nights and stressful days ever since her death.

(Y/n) was also crying but held Cloud tightly stroking his hair gently. She struggled to speak so instead remained silent. Cloud looked after a couple minutes, he couldn't believe it, she was here she was back. As if (Y/n) could read his mind she smiled nodding and kissed his forehead.

After that the moment, (Y/n) and Cloud spent a lot of time near each other. Cloud held her hand tightly as Tifa gave her some spare clothes to change into, he was scared that if he let go she would be gone.

"Cloud...." She raspily said looking over at her boyfriend who appeared deep in thought. "I ..." (Y/n) said motioning to the clothes Tifa had given her. Her throat hurt to speak, so she tried to speak as little as possible.

Instead Cloud tightened his grip on her hand, "No," He said simply refusing to let go of her hand. (Y/n) sighed, ruffling his hair, she kissed his forehead before moving away to go change in another room.

"A...little...." She said softly as Tifa followed her out. It would take a while for (Y/n) to recover completely, for the moment her friends were helping her out to avoid any accidents. The two tried their best to change as fast as possible so (Y/n) could return back to Cloud. "How....Cl..oud?" (Y/n) struggled to ask. The words formed in her head simply would not come out of her mouth.

Tifa smiled sadly as she helped (Y/n) put on her shirt, "Cloud.....he worked so hard to bring you back, I don't think he'll ever let you go again (Y/n)" She told (Y/n) before sending her back to Cloud. Tifa didn't have many clothes that would fit (Y/n) and gave her an over sized shirt and some shorts to wear.

Cloud anxiously waited for (Y/n) to come back, after the trauma from before every minute that (Y/n) was away he grew more and more worried. The moment (Y/n) came back into the room she was engulfed in a tight hug by Cloud. (Y/n) didn't wait and hugged him back laying her head against his chest as he stroked his hair.

"I love you (Y/n),"
