*Imani's POV*

"Okay so I heard there was a party type thing for all the basketball players, boys and girls, to chill and drink and have fun and shit. You wanna go?" Naomi asked me.
"Shit why not," I nodded in agreement, "let's make some new friends."
"And mingle with cute basketball boys," she giggles. I shook my head a little bit and laughed. "When is it?" I asked. She looked at her phone and read something off it and then looked at me, "Friday night at 7PM," she told me. I nodded to what she said. Today was Wednesday and also the 3rd day of college. I myself am a freshman as well as Naomi.

Friday night came and I got ready with Naomi. Music was playing through a speaker connected to Naomi's phone. Once we were both ready and dressed we took a few pictures together and then got our stuff together to leave.

We pulled up to the address and it was a huge ass house. It looked like it could be a sorority house but it wasn't. I parked the car and we both got out. We walked in to the house and were greeted by a face I knew... One I haven't seen in years. "Holy shit," he laughed, looking at me, "Imani??"
"Shareef?" I smiled at him, "Wow it's been... years."
"Last time I saw you we were what? 5th grade?" he asked.
"Yeah probably," I nodded, "Then I moved and I haven't seen you since. Damn it's crazy."
"I know," he nodded, "You still in basketball?"
"Well I wouldn't be at the team party if I wasn't, would I?" I laughed.
"Stupid question," he shook his head, laughing. Wow he got so fine... I haven't seen him in person in so long... "What you looking at huh?" he asked, knocking me out of my thought.
"Huh?" I looked at him, shaking my head, "My bad. I was just thinking. But c'mon lets have funnnn."
"Just as damn wild as I remember you," he smirked. I smiled at him and he showed me the way to the kitchen where they had drinks. Alcoholic and non alcoholic. I grabbed a bottle of Snapple tea off the counter and Shareef grabbed a water bottle. "Not a drinker?" he asked.
"Nah. Plus the girl I came with, is, and I'm driving," I laughed a bit.
"Shit lets go catch up," he nodded toward a patio door. Outside there was a few people in the hot tub but most people were inside. I nodded in agreement and we both went outside. I shut the door behind me. There was two girls and two guys sitting in the hot tub talking. A girl looked over, saw Shareef and waved at him. "Hey Shareef!" she giggled out. He waved back with a smile. She stood up a little in the hot tub and waved him over. "Later!!" he yelled to her. She pouted at him but nodded, winking at him, then sitting back in the hot tub. I laughed a little and he took me over to a little porch swing and sat down. I sat down next to him. "Groupies now huh?" I laughed.
"Pretty much," he chuckled, "They all wanna be 'famous'," he told me. I nodded and sighed a bit. "That's the trouble of having all star fathers," I shrugged.
"It is, girls aint shit these days. They all just want clout and money," he shook his head.
"Dudes the same," I nodded, "Mostly just wanna meet my dad and get pictures with him." Shareef shook his head a little at that statement. We spent about a good 45 minutes talking to each other. Catching up with each other, talking about how it's been, talking about what we been doing. It felt so good. I felt so comfortable with him. "Come on Reef!!" another boy said as he was coming out of the patio door. Shareef laughed a bit and stood up, looking at me. "Lets do this," he took his shirt off and smiled.
"I don't have a swim suit," I shook my head.
"I'll lend you some clothes to wear home," He held his hand out for me to take. I groaned a little and took his hand standing up. "That's the wild lul girl I know," he smirked at me. I laughed a little bit and followed him to he pool. It was dark out so all there was the outside lights and the pool LED lights. "Ready?" Shareef asked. I laughed and pushed him into the water. He screamed a little and popped up out of the water. He laughed a little and flipped me off. "Get in!" he called. I jumped in next to him and laughed a little bit.
