~ Tony's pov~
I sat in the hospital with the doctor wrapping up my ribs.
"You need to be more careful." She said.
"I know." I said putting my shirt down. My mom ran into the room.
"Honey, what happened?" She asked.
"Now you care." I mumbled.
"What?" She asked.
"Nothing." I said. "Can I go back to school?" I asked the doctor.
"Of course." She said. I got up carefully and grabbed my bag.
"Thank you." I said.
"You're welcome. I'll prescribe you some pain meds." She said writing on a paper. I nodded. She handed me the paper.
"Thank you." I said. She nodded.
"Honey, you need to go home." My mom said. I sighed.
"I wanna go back to school." I said.
"Well, you're staying home." She said as we got in the car.
"And stay by myself since you're gonna go back to work? No." i said.
"I took the rest of the day off." She said. I sighed. She started driving. When we got home I walked inside and up to my room. I walked in my room slamming the door and locking it. I laid on my bed and looked up at the ceiling. Mike is pretty cute. I wish I could tell my mom i'm gay. Maybe she'll understand. I got up and walked downstairs and saw my mom in the living room.
"Mom, can I talk to you?" I asked.
"Sure, honey. What's up?" She asked.
"Uh, well my friend is having trouble trying to figure out what he is." I said.
"You mean sexuality wise?" She asked.
"Yes. Would it be wrong if he turned out gay?" I asked.
"Yes, it would. Being gay is a sin. Being straight is not." She said. I sighed.
"Mom, I'm gay." I said. She dropped her coffee.
"You're what?!" She yelled.
"Yeah, I am." I said.
"No kid of mine is gay!" She yelled.
"Well you know what mom? I am!" I yelled.
"Get out!" She yelled.
"You can't kick me out!" I yelled.
"I can and I am! I'm giving you thirty days to find a place and be out of here." She said. I went upstairs and grabbed my laptop and started searching for an apartment. Maybe I shouldn't have told her.

"Tony, there's someone here for you!" I heard my mom yell. I sighed and walked downstairs. I saw Mike standing at the door talking to my mom.
"Mike? What are you doing here?" I asked.
"Oh, I decided to bring you your homework." He said.
"I could've gotten it tomorrow." I said.
"I brought it so I could help you." He said.
"Alright, mom we'll be upstairs." I said. She nodded. Mike followed me to my room. I shut the door and we sat on the bed.
"What'd the doctor say?" He asked.
