At a gas station just outside of LA, the young blonde singer stood outside of his car holding the pump, giving it the fuel it needed for the miles to come. He hummed along to the faint sound of music coming from the radio above, tapping his foot slightly to the beat. The wind blew his hair around, and he watched the road ahead as other cars sped by.

Once he was done filling up the tank, he shut the lid and put the gas pump back where it goes. He glanced around quickly and then towards the station's building. He felt a tug in the pit of his stomach— worry. He wished his girl would hurry up so they could get out of there. The place gave him the creeps.

Vince went and got back in his car, and sat for a few moments. He nervously tapped on the steering wheel. He stared out the window and watched the general store's door. "Where is she?" He muttered to himself.

Vince, being the worrisome man he is, let his nerves get the best of him. He gave her about six more seconds, then he hopped out of the car. He walked briskly to the door, and as soon as he opened it, his body collided with another's.

"Ugh. Vince!" The voice sounded annoyed, and tired. It was a woman's voice. And he knew who's.

A smile spread across Vince's face. The voice belonged to his girl— the girl they call Bats.

"Sorry, sugar." He picked up the yellow plastic bag she had dropped filled with things for the road.

"Now our drinks are shaken up." She complained, snatching the bag from his hands. "Way to go, blondie."

Vince couldn't help but still smile at her. He shook his head and followed her back the car, as she stormed towards it. "What took ya so long anyways?"

She flipped her hair, looking at him over her shoulder. "I couldn't decide what snack to get you."

"Aw, I told you ya didn't have to get me anything." The two got back into the car, and he looked at Bats and smiled. "Thank you, though."

"Well you payed for it so.." Bats couldn't help but smile back up at him. She laughed a little and scooted closer to him, leaning up to give him a kiss. He loved to feel her soft lips against his own.

"You ready?" Vince said, grinning from ear to ear, and starting up the car once more.

The couple had been planning this road trip for months, and now they finally get to go on it.

"I am so ready!" Bats settled down, before buckling her seatbelt. She had the biggest smile on her face which sent shockwaves of joy through Vince. He could never be able to explain how utterly happy she truly made him.

They had a few hours ahead of them to reach their destination, but Bats was stoked to get the alone time with him. He had been so busy with his band lately, time was hardly spent for just the two of them. Now it is just them, and she couldn't be happier. Being with him was Heaven on Earth to her, and there was no place she'd rather be than right by his side.

"What're we gonna do when we get there?" Vince said, breaking the comfortable silence between the two that had started.

Bats had leaned back in her seat a bit, relaxing. She looked to Vince through her hair and shrugged her shoulders. "Go to the beach?"

"Well it'll be dark by the time we get there."

"We can walk on the beach by the moonlight!" Bats said, getting excited again. The dazzling smile that Vince loved, reappeared.

"Oh, how romantic." Vince said in a quite teasing manner. He sounded like the lovesick girls in the movies. The girl squinted and poked his arm, making him giggle at her.

"We'll have tons of fun, you just wait." Bats sat back again.

The fun didn't have to wait till they arrived at their destination. Because, while another couple hours were passing, the two having immense fun. Vince would sing to her, she would sing to him, and then they'd sing together. They'd find themselves laughing at absolutely nothing, telling jokes and then looking over at one another lovingly while they laughed.

"I love you so much, babe." Vince said softly, as they were stopped at a red light.

She brushed her hair out of her face and smiled, looking at her boyfriend. "I love you so much more."

"Now that is impossible!" He exclaimed, shaking his head.

Bats leaned over and pressed a kiss to Vince's cheek, "Just keep driving, blondie."
