| Lacey's POV |
"Hello, miss? Can I help you with anything?" I looked up to see a brunette nurse peering down at me. She looked like she actually wanted to help me.
"N-no it's fine," I mumbled into my hand. I wiped away my tears on my shirtsleeve and sniffled before pushing myself to my feet.
"Are you sure? We always have people you can talk to if you're going through a hard time," She kindly suggested. "Or if you don't want to talk to them I'm always here. My shift just ended so we could go out somewhere or I could just give you a ride."
I thought about it for a moment. It's probably around midnight by now and I really don't want to be outside, alone this late. I might run into someone like Zayn. "Um, could I have a ride?" I shyly asked. I don't ever really like asking random people for help.
"Yeah, of course!" She exclaimed. "Just follow me out to my car," We began walking out the double doors and then through the parking lot. "I'm Gemma, by the way," She said as we got to her car. She looked to be a few years older than me.
"Lacey," I quietly replied. We got in the car and buckled up. The vehicle began driving out of the parking lot.
"So where to?" Gemma asked, quite chirpily. I gave her directions without thinking about where we were actually going until we pulled up outside Harry's house.
"Thank you," I quietly said as I was opening the door to get out.
"Anytime," She gave me a closed-mouth smile as I got out. As I was walking up the walkway I heard her car drive away. In the illumination of her headlight I saw that there were no cars in Harry's driveway. I sighed and walked to his front door and knocked anyways. When there was no reply I just sat down on his front steps. I have nowhere else to go, I can't go home, I can't see Meg, I certainly can't see Zayn. Harry is my only option right now. I sat there for who-know-how-long, just picking off old nail polish and staring absent-mindedly at nearby houses. I wonder what Harry's neighbours are like.
I saw headlights breach the dark, night sky. The car pulled into Harry's driveway and the ignition shut off. Twow door opened and Harry and some blonde girl wearing a skimpy dress emerged. They were laughing and stopped to makeout a few times before actually walking to come inside. That's when he saw me. His expression immediately changed from happy and care-free to one of concern.
"What are you doing here?" Harry asked seriously. The girl finally took her eyes off of oggling Harry and saw me for the first time. Her eyes turned into those of disgust.
I just shrugged in answer to his question. "I had nowhere else to go," My voice cracked multiple times during that small sentance.
"Baby, just ignore her, I thought we were going to have some fun?" The slutty girl whined into Harry's ear. He turned to look at her and then suddenly shoved his tongue down her throat. Just as quickle as it had started, it was over.
"Not tonight," He curtly stated and began walking towards me.
"But, baby! Wait!" She called out in her annoying high-pitched voice. "How am I supposed to get home? You drove me here," She pouted and stuck out her butt even more.
"You'll figure it out you're smart," he paused. "Enough."
She gave a little "Humph" as Harry walked up to me and helped me stand up before taking me inside.
"I'm sorry for ruining your date" I mumbled. "I could have just left." Now I feel guilty for ruining Harry's date. It was a stupid idea to come here in the first place, I should have just gone home. I don't even know if Dylan was there or not.
