The phone ringed silently on the table but, he never looked at it. Then, the screen lighted up and a message popped out. Fastening his watch, he slowly picked it up. There were 13 missed calls from mom and a message.
Mom: Y aren't u picking up the phone? Is everything alright? Have u boarded the flight?
And another message popped in
Mom: Call me. Now!!
Sighing, he messaged quickly "I'm alright. Flights in an hour".
Picking up his car keys and his sunglasses, he walks out for the elevator locking the door behind him.
Turning on the ignition in the car, he pulls the car out of the driveway, he takes a sharp turn around the corner and then plays "Come Together" by The Beatles. After parking the car and checking in, he hastens for his seat.
Pulling out his phone from his pocket, he looks at the message. The looks at it for some time before he switches it off. The plane takes off swiftly, soon reaching the clouds. He looks out, the sun shining amidst the clouds. The seat next to him is empty. Adjusting his glasses, he closes his eyes, taking a deep breath, he tries to relax.
