It was a quiet summer night. Arihan lay on his bed thinking all about the day. How he felt at the last moment if he could miss his flight. He had kept his cool throughout but a turmoil of thoughts running on his mind. Going back into his life meant getting back to the old days. Some held good memories and the others were not something he would ever want to recall. Over the years he had started to accept all of it and move on, not that he had any other choice but, what he didn't know was there was more waiting for him now that he had returned. He closed his eyes and tried to sleep. It was his very home but, now he felt like a stranger in it.
Later, his parents were talking outside in their rooms.
"I think I should tell him".
"Don't you think you are going a bit too fast. Let him get adjusted here first. He's just come over"
"You think he needs time to adjust in his own home" remarked Soumik.
"You have got to understand that he has been out there alone and gone through a lot. U need to give him time. I'll talk to him about this".
"Whatever" said Soumik and the matter ended just for the day and his wife knew that well. She had to talk to her son about it before everything ended just like before and she had once lost her son and losing him again was the last thing she would ever want.
