The Alpha's Stubborn Mate

A Night to Remember

The ride to the Grand Hall was quite pleasant. No one talked at all. Unless they were all mindlinking. I'm just surprised dad hasn't said anything to me about coming back, I wonder if I announced I had a mate he would feel bad because I would have married someone I wasn't in love with and was not my mate, and it would have been his fault that a very big Alpha (meaning Vince) was deprived of his soul mate. Not that I would tell my dad who my mate was.

About five or less more minutes we arrived and it seems that the party has already started.

We got out of the family limo and walk inside. You can hear the music blaring in the parking lot. I hope only we can hear it, kinda glad we own a lot of land so we don't have cranky and nosy neighbors. The lights were beyond beautiful. They were LED multicolor lights they look like little bubbles that won't pop.

"Morgan?"

"Yes?"

"Come by the bathrooms."

Quite honestly I did not feel like arguing so I just walked to the bathrooms. I spotted Vince looking antsy, he looked up and when he saw me his face calmed a little.

"There are people coming, bad bad people and they are almost here. I've already alerted my father, he could smell them too but I need you to change." He said handed me a pair of clothes. I took them from him and nodded. I started to walk away but he grabbed my hand. "I'm sorry" he whispered. His fangs extended out, and before I could even protest he bit me. I felt woozy for a second.

" Really?!" I yelled, well at least that's what I think I did. The blackness surrounded my vision and everything was blurring and mixing together. And then I was out.

I heard hushed voices swarming around me.

"She okay?"

"What happened?"

"Isn't that Morgan?"

"Didn't parents try to disown her?"

"Is anyone else hungry?"

I slowly opened my eyes and people were standing around me and Vince was holding me. I guess since I was awake people were bored and went back to minding their own business all that was left was Vince, my parents, Violet, Jonah and me. I looked at Vi and gave her a small smile. She got up and went to the snack bar and Jonah followed behind her. I told my parents I was fine, they hesitated before leaving. Vince helped me up off the floor. "You idiot you marked me!" I whisper yelled. He shrugged his shoulders. "Quite honestly I thought you would be out longer it usually takes hours for others to wake up but it took you ten minutes. I planned on taking you back but the nurse attend the party and she said you'd be fine." He replied rolling his eyes.

"They are almost here." He stated. I nodded my head and started toward the bathroom where I was instructed to change. I stopped and turned around.

"What about everyone else?" I asked. He glanced my way and gave me a small smile telling me he has everything under control.

I listen closely to see if I can hear footsteps or heart beats but I pick up something unusual. Someone was already here and they didn't have normal heart either, and I need to tell Vince and fast. I turned around and there was a man in a mask and suit. Doesn't he know this isn't a masquerade party, oh well. "Nice mask." I said trying to walk around him and he blocks my path. He grabs my arm reaches for his pocket. I turned around fast and did the S-I-N-G from Miss Congeniality and made a run for it.

I spot Vince searching the crowd looking for intruders I guess and I sprinted towards him.
"Someone's here. And there heart beat, it sounds disoriented, he was wearing a mask too" I reported. "Didn't I tell you to change? How are you going to run or fight in a dress and heels?" He asked, " It's very possible and if you were listening I said I got attacked." I responded. "I heard you but I need you to be safe " He said looking at me grabbing my hand "and I want you to know you're mine don't let any one touch you, okay?"
"So does this mean I'm not a temporary mate any more? I joked, he put his hand in my hand  and intertwined them.
We soon hear a microphone giving feedback and see the Alpha standing on the stage with his wine glass in hand. "As you all know this celebration is for two of our own, Morgan, celebrating her 18th birthday and her return to her family and Vincent stepping up and becoming Alpha." He paused for a bit for applause. "Vince," He said motioning for him. "if you don't mind coming up here. Before you are Alpha you have to do the official blood oath, so may I see your hand?" The process was really simple cut your hand the previous Alpha cuts his and you say the acceptances oath while the other says his stepping down oath they're very similar some words are just a little different. Now Vince is Alpha, there's going to be trouble, I can already feel Jane eye raping him. I really want to choke slam her, like is it that hard to close your legs.

A cool breeze swept through it felt very sinister. The man in the mask walked towards the stage very slowly and other began to notice him too. He finally made his way to the stage and taking the microphone from Daniel, "Ahh, now that there's a new Alpha we can all have some fun, now I want the new Alphas mate and I want her now or else this will become a slaughterhouse." He announced there were whispers and murmurs everywhere. "Little Luna come out" He's taunting me. "Everyone's life depends on it." He's luring me. "People will die." He's trapping me. I was moving forward and didn't even know it. "Thats it keep walking, you're saving lives you know." I'm trapped. Vince looked at me from the stage. I whispered to him that I was sorry as the man walked off stage to me, he reached in his pocket and pulled out a case with a needle in it and injected me with it, I felt the darkness surrounded me, he picks me up and throws me over his shoulder I see Vince being held back by my dad, his dad and Jonah. "I'll be fine". I used the last bit of energy I had and mind linked him, he stopped struggling and the let go of him. "I love you". That's was the last thing I heard before I was completely knocked out.

So this actually took forever I had concert band practices, color guard practices, studying for exams, taking exams, dr appointments, and pure laziness and other stuff but here you go hope you enjoyed it.
