Ch 28 - reuniting with kakashi

Kakashi POV-

-choke him
-burn him up
-crush him
-yell at him
-hit and/or kick him

The top five things I wanted to do to Obito the moment i Saw him. The reason being that he didn't tell me his actual plan back at kanabi bridge.

So Why? When i have a plan like that.. Why do my impulses betray me like that?! And make me hug him instead?!

It only lasted about 3 seconds and yet we managed to make it oh sooooo awkward!
We hugged each other at arms langt for crying out loud.

'Impulses! I Hereby disown you'

"Didn't realize you missed me thar much" Obito Said with a smug look on his face. He knew he had changed me, and he was ridiculously proud of it.

"Tch! Shut up dead last!" I said using the phrase I used to use just about once every 5 minutes.. in the past that is. As of now..it kind of felt like an inside joke.

"I knew you were alive.. but it was hard keeping it a secret..you know...seeing everyone so depressed after loosing you.." I told him. As an answer he gave me an apologetic smile.

"But- I saved Rin..from the mist that is.."

"Then why so solemn?"

"It's been a while now, but everyone is still so wary. After all they don't know why Rin was targeted. It could lead to a war between the mist and the leaf if we're not careful. Especially after what happened to lord Danzo"

"People think the mist is responsible for his murder?"

I narrowed my eyes at that "I didn't tell you that...how do y-"

"Minato told me, you bafoon! Geez don't get too suspicious of me would you?!"

I realized my mistake and scratched my neck in embarrassment 'of course Sensei would make obito catch up on everything'

Third person POV-

However the truth was that mnato hadn't done that exactly.

Minato had convinced himself to take it slow with obito, so that he wouldn't get overwhelmed.

In other words- obito nearly just blew it!

"Now that we're on the subject..." obito started, he knew he needed to tell Kakashi about this new problem. His memories and all that.

"Yeah? What is it?"

"Danzo didn't die in the original timeline...Well, at least not this early.. Kakashi everything is changing, the timeline is changing"

"Well that's..what?! Eh...what does that mean for us?"

"It means that the moments I'm remembering from my life is currently being erased and changed into what adds into these new changes"

"Example"

"I'm my time, Danzo saved one of Orochimaru's experiments. Tenzou was his name. But now that Danzo is dead I fear that Tenzou isn't gonna be found at all, and might die"

"That's...not good"

"No shit Sherlock!"

"...who's Sherlock?"

"I don't know... It just sounded right!"

"..."

"Anyway! My memories are being altered, I barely remember Tenzou anymore..."

"Then why not write it down!?"

"I just got minato off my back, if there's any other way less suspicious, let's take that!"

To that Kakashi could only nod, there was a reason they had burned all their preparation papers regarding kanabi bridge.
But suddenly a thought emerged in kakashi's head "how about everything else? Just how much have you forgotten?!"

"Tenzou...and Yahiko's death. I suspect more will come, but it disappears gradually, not just in one fellow swoop. Perhaps the Akatsuki's existence all-together"

"Akatsuki..that organization of yours?"

"That's right, but I only got to take over after their previous leader Yahiko died. Due to Danzo's manipulation of Hanzō the salamander"

"Was Danzo really the cause of such-"

"Horrible things..." obito sighed, thinking of the Uchiha massacre "more than you'd imagine"

After obito had gotten to explain everything regarding this memory loss, he had gone on to explaining these set, and soft moments in time.
Or rather, the things that are meant to happen due to how meaningful they are, and the moments that can we changed, mostly because they don't play as a factor as high as the others.

"What would an example of that be?"

"Hmm... I suppose that the mist trying to take Rin was inevitable. True they didn't get to take her, but the fact that they went against such big odds could mean that it was simply meant to happen"

"You know...when you told me your story I never imagined I'd be dragged in things such as this"

At that obito smiled, a small, soft and genuine smile. "Neither did I my friend..."

A/N

And that's that for this chapter!

While writing this I actually realized it might be weird that Kakashi went to see obito before Rin did. But oh well I'll just have Rin make some sort of excuse.

Times are getting harder for obito and Kakashi, I suspect you all see that.
But the question is- is it too much for 2 persons alone?

-Minato?
-Or someone completely else?
