Ch 33 - the heart seal

Minato POV-

"-we'll it is..quite troublesome.." I simply answered one of the nurses questions.
There was a lot about obito's condition that we wasn't sure about, two things being very troubling.

1) the white mass on his right arm.
2) it seems that obito has had a seal placed on him, or rather on his heart.

I had looked through the sealing books that Kushina had brought from her village.
If i couldn't identity the seal i hoped that those books could.
They did.

'Forbidden Individual Curse Tag' that's it's name, and it's as horrible as it sounds.
It forbids the victim under the influence of the seal to go against the will of the one who placed it, and it also won't allow the victim to remove it on their own.

"To think anyone would use such a horrible jutsu..." the nurse said and shivered, I couldn't blame her though.
I was enraged, I wished to know who had done such a thing to obito. My student.

"A relief is that the seal seems to be inactive. If it's because the mastermind never truly activated it, or there were some intervention is unknown"

"And you really don't remember? His name? The location? Your surroundings? Anything?" I asked obito while the nurse were getting a small sample from his right arm.

We had been doing this ever since he got home, endless tests and checkups. I'm sure it's getting annoying for him.

"It's all a blur...I think I heard..Mara? I don't know if it's his name. And I just remember it was dark. And in a forest...sorry I don't know if it's amnesia or-"

"No no don't apologize, it's possibly just blunt trauma.." I said and put a comforting hand on obito's shoulder.
I wish we knew more, but right now the priority was to know if obito was well.

"But I- I think...I think he's dead..."

This peeked my interest.
"What? Do you remember that?"

"I- I don't i just...just know..."

Obito POV-

New level lies right Here.

But even though we're going to tell Minato the truth, we can't just yet, we need more preparations, after all it's only been a couple of days since Jiraiya met Shiro and Tobi.
I can't take too much in one week.
I mean give me a break...

About that...I'm sorta starting to regret it....
My mind quickly had a flashback of when I had met up with jiraiya in his little apartment yo discuss the work he would give the two Zetsu.

I shouldn't really have been surprised when I found jiraiya in a daze in the corner of his apartment, hastily writing stuff down on paper.
The rest of his apartment were also a mess, not in trash but in piles and piles of papers.
Out of pure curiosity I picked a stack up...only to find out it was one of his...novels....that the Zetsu was helping him with....
Dear god... and so my search for bleach began...

I had revealed to minato that i was quite sure 'Mara' was a uchiha as I has told minato I saw his eyes glow red.

Minato believed me instantly.
And then he began looking through archives.

"Mara...she was a uchiha girl, who was born as stillborn 4 years ago" minato read from the archives he had found on the uchiha.

"I'm gonna pass that as a..no.." I told him and kept on skimming through other archives.. making it look like I was actually trying.

"Mari, May, Maya..Momo, Marie, Mayoni, Madara-"

And GULP!

Thought my heartbeat skipped a beat at the name minato continued.

"Oh! Here is another Mara!"

IT'S A MADE UP NAME!!! I MADE IT UP!!
HOW!!?

"Oh.." minato Said after skimming though the papers of this other Mara.
"Mara seems to be unisex, because this is a man"

Is that the cause of his reaction?

"A most unpleasant man... seems like he was the son of one of Madara uchiha's elder brothers, Makuda... he looked up to his uncle, but was against the treaty with the Senju. He disappeared into thin air 6 years after Madara's death, when he was only 17.....he was never seen again"

A soul crushing story.. truly.. but I'm laughing so incredibly hard on the inside.

"He would be incredibly old, but not old enough to make it impossible"

"I made it up! I swear!" I was sitting on the couch in kakashi's home, Rin and Kakashi was both there while I rambled on about the chances of me making up a valid story.

"I can already imagine Minato-sensei's face when we reveal the truth and tell him it was just pure chance!" Rin, who found it just as funny as I, said.

"But someone like this Mara would need a motive" Kakashi stated.

"Yeah minato said that too, we ended with the conclusion that he was after me because I'm his uncles great grandchild"

"This keep getting better and better" Kakashi said and facepalmed.

"On another note!" Rin said and wiped her tears that had appeared due to her laughter.
"Obito what did the doctors say?"

"Ah..yeah...important news, in a weeks time I'll be going into surgery, to remove the seal on my heart"

"What?! Why didn't you start with that?!"

"What's the big deal, it's a 99% success surgery that'll be performed by some of the best medics in the village, and sensei will take care in determining if the seal can be removed with standard procedure"

"...alright...but what about afterwards?"

"Yeah I've been given some manuals of what I must and mustn't do afterwards"

"So you're prepared"

"As can be, it's not like it's a heart transplant, it's just removing something that didn't belong there. So there's very few mustn't's"

*coughs*

So obito will have a surgery, I though it would be a good way to take for obito's part, instead of constantly gambling on the seal remaining inactive.

And can't I get a R.I.P for Tobi's innocence?
