Harry’s POV

“Ugghh,” Harry moaned. He opened his eyes to see the base of the waterfall right next to him. He felt his chest, barely being able to move his arms. It was definitely swollen. “Broken ribs,” he thought. He didn't care, though, he was alive. He tried to stand but he couldn't even lift himself, he knew he had broken much more than a couple ribs. He layed still, knowing there wasn't much he could do in that moment, and drifted back to unconsciousness.

Luke’s POV

“Ash, it’s close to being dark, and we still haven’t found camp yet. Are you sure you know where you're going?” Ashton sighed at Luke. “Luke, yes, I have a very good sense of direction, okay? We’re going to be fine.” Sure enough, there was camp just about a quarter of a mile away. “See, Luke? There it is.” Luke smiled as they walked up. “So, do we just wait here? Or try to find a way out of here?” Luke knew he was scared, they had just lost their leader, but he couldn't deny that for the moment he was okay to be with Ashton alone for a while. “Nooo. We have to stay here, Luke. I knew my way back to here, but I definitely couldn't make it to the bus. I’m not that good.” The boys pulled out protein bars from their packs and ate them in silence. They were both scared, but tried to hide it from one another. Ashton broke the silence, “This sucks.” “What?” said Luke, as if he didn't know that stuff had gone completely wrong. “I checked the weather before we left. Tonight is supposed to be so much colder than last night.” That was not what Luke was expecting to hear for some reason. “Oh, that does suck. I could barely sleep last night because I was so cold.” They were silent again. “Do you think Louis and Niall are okay?” Ashton shrugged, “I hope so.” He stood up and walked towards the tent. “I’m going to sleep. I’m done with this day.” Luke wasn't tired at all. He was still too shaken up, but he agreed anyways. They got in their sleeping bags. Ashton smiled at Luke, “Goodnight. Try to sleep well, I know it’s scary, but we’re gonna be okay.” Luke smiled back, “Goodnight, Ash,” and closed his eyes.

An hour later, Luke layed there, still awake. He had never actually fallen asleep. The temperatures had dropped down to the teens, and he could feel it. His teeth chattered away, he could not get warm. He heard Ashton roll in his sleeping bag. Ashton opened his eyes and saw Luke looking at him. “Luke, are you okay? Have you gone to sleep yet? Your teeth chattering woke me up.” Luke shook his head, “I cant fall asleep. It’s way too cold. This sleeping bag is doing nothing.” Ashton stayed silent for a second. “Luke, come over here.” Luke’s teeth stopped chattering, “What?” “Come in my sleeping bag with me. Body heat will be the best thing for you right now. I don't want you getting sick.” Luke obviously couldn't deny his offer. He got out of his sleeping bag and slipped into Ashton’s. Luke positioned himself to where he wasn't actually touching Ashton, he didn't want to make him feel uncomfortable. He definitely could feel his body heat, though. “Wow he is warm,” he thought to himself, “so freaking warm.” Unexpectedly, Ashton grabbed Luke pulling him close and wrapping his arms around him, “How am I supposed to keep you warm if we aren't even close?” Luke smiled to himself, glad Ashton couldn't see him, also hoping that he couldn't feel his heart practically beating out of his chest. “Better, Luke?” “Much better,” Luke said, with his head on Ashton’s chest. And in no time, Luke and Ashton were fast asleep.
