Black Sheep Blues
You demanded my trust
A sickening order, threatening to rust
Every ounce of respect I held
For who you claimed to be,
For what birthright named youYou shamed my dignity
An action of cruelty, thinking you could fool me
Into being your confidant once more
A sweet child who stays put behind the shut doorYou broke my heart
An unwittingly overheard sentence having pulled us apart
No longer singing along to your repetitive tunes
I'm now singing the Black Sheep Blues
