Chapter 23

"Are you gonna be quiet the entire ride?" he asked.

"You're so lucky that little girl walked in when she did." I told him.

"She loves you."

"I love her too, I love her so much Dom. I almost lost him." I said, letting the tears fall again.

"He's gonna be okay, Penelope. This game is dangerous but he's gonna be okay. Now we gotta go make sure our brother is okay."

"Where's Mia, Brian and Jack? Where's my sister?" I asked him.

"She's on her way to Mando with the rest of the family."

"Okay, she'll be safe there. All of them will." I muttered.

"She's pregnant again." he said.

"She's pregnant."

"Yeah, she's gonna have another baby. The family is growing and you already knew that."

"Yeah, of course I did Dom, I'm her sister. You have to get him."

"I will, even if it's the last thing . . ."

"Don't go there, you can't do that damn it." I argued.

"I'm sorry but I will do whatever it takes to get rid of this guy. He put my family in danger and you know that there's nothing that pushes my rage more than that."

"Worry about it when you have to. Let's just go get Han and Gisele."

It only took me a few minutes to pack a bag and then we were on our way to the airport. We decided to call Mia while we were in the car.

"Mando, mi amigo, como estas?" I asked.
(Mando, my friend, how are you)

"Todo bien, I'm very good. It's nice to hear from you." he replied.

"Did they arrive yet?"

"Yeah, they're here. I picked them up myself at the airport, hold on . . . your sister." I heard him say.

"Penny? Oh thank God! Where've you been?"

"Hobbs was in an accident, I've been in the hospital with him the last few days."

"What?"

"Yeah, things aren't looking good."

"Are you with Dom?"

"Yeah, Mia, I'm here. How's it going there?" he asked.

"We're at Mando's freaking mansion, I mean this place is like a fortress. You should see Brian, he's in full FBI mode. He even built a surveillance hub in Mando's garage and everything. What about you? Did you find out who's after us?" she asked.

"Looks like the sins of London have followed us home. How did Buster take the news?" he asked.

"You still haven't told him?"

"I can't tell him. If he knew about the baby, he'd stay here with us and with all that's going on, you're gonna need him by your side. Penny, are you going?"

"No, well yes but no." I replied.

"Okay, Dom watch out for him, keep each other safe and come home together." Mia demanded.

"Tell Brian I'll see him in LA in two days." Dom said.

"Where are you going?" Mia asked.

"Tokyo, we're gonna bring Han home." I said.

"Okay, be safe please, all of you." she pleaded.

"We will, take care of yourself and those babies. I'll see you all soon." I told her before hanging up.
