March 18, 2017, a date that etched itself into my memory like an indelible mark.

As the day unfolded, Celeste's enthusiasm intrigued me. Considering what had transpired just the day before, I found her radiating joy rather surprising.

"Luna!" I called out, seeking my sister's attention.

"What?" Luna responded, her voice tinged with curiosity.

"I'm heading to Celeste's again today. I'll see you later," I informed her before shutting the door behind me.

I tried my best to avoid dwelling on yesterday's unsettling incident, but it proved difficult. After returning home, Luna took me to the doctor to assess the injuries on my arm and eye. When they inquired about the cause, I simply mentioned that I had stumbled into a rose bush. Strangely, they believed my explanation. Consequently, I now had to wear a medical eye patch, uncertain how long it would be necessary. But such trivial matters didn't concern me today; my sole purpose was to bring happiness to my friend.

I knocked on Celeste's door, patiently awaiting a response. Suddenly, something unexpectedly fell beside me. My eyes darted around, discovering it to be a shoe. Looking up, I spotted Celeste herself perched on the roof.

"What's up?" I inquired.

"Me, Zeke. I'm up," she playfully retorted.

"Haha. Very funny," I responded, chuckling lightly.

"So, what do you feel like doing today?" Celeste asked, her voice brimming with anticipation.

I pondered for a moment. "I'm not sure. What about you?" I replied.

"Nah, I just want to hang out with my bestie," she declared with a warm smile.

"And who might that be?" I teased, teasingly pretending ignorance.

Her smile quickly transformed into a playful pout. "You're silly," she mused.

I laughed heartily. "I'm kidding. It's great to see you in high spirits."

"Yeah," she beamed. "How are you feeling?"

"I'm alright. They think I fell into a bush," I disclosed.

She burst into laughter.

"What did your parents say about it?" I inquired.

She shrugged nonchalantly. "Nothing much. They searched my room and locked away the knives."

"Oh," I responded, perplexed. Why was she so cheery despite the circumstances?

"Yeah, are you coming in or what?" she quipped, her smirk growing wider.

"Well, I need the door to be opened," I playfully retorted.

"Oh yeah, that's what I was forgetting," she laughed, proceeding to unlock the door.

"It's astonishing how intricate this model ship is," Celeste commented, gesturing toward the detailed creation bestowed upon us by Ken.

"Indeed, getting the rigging right requires skill," I shrugged in agreement.

"But you know what I enjoy even more? Visiting the real thing," she confessed with delight.

"You've mentioned it numerous times," I acknowledged. "By the way, where's Ken?"

"He's at work. He didn't want to leave me alone, but my parents assured him that there's no need to worry," she explained.

"And where are your parents?" I inquired further.

"I don't know. They went out, saying they'd return later. Who knows when that will be," she replied with uncertainty.

"Oh," I simply uttered, sensing a certain air of peculiarity.
