B - No matter how many times you ask, the answer is still no.

L - Oh, c'mon. Why not?

B - Maybe it's the fact that you keep asking the reason I don't trust you anymore.

L - You can't blame for trying...

B - Oh, but I can, Law. Just how long do you plan to continue with this?

L - Until you say yes. I will ask you for as long as I live.

B - *sigh* Be more cheesy, will you? I'm still not lactose intolerant from the bullshit you keep spilling.

<B - I leaned on one of the trees as he sat along the wall behind me. The afternoon light created a calm and relaxing picture as the orange from the sun rays and the green of the foliage around us slowly mixed in front of us.

How many times had he asked me out since then...? For Laurence and I, it was kind of our special routine. It was so typical for us to meet at the back of the high school for his daily confession that it basically became our hanging spot. Neither of us took his advances on me that seriously anymore, at least not after his sixteenth failed attempt. Still, the continuous back and forth ended up building some sort of weird friendship between us.>

L - Anyways, you have any plans for tomorrow?

B - Tidying, shopping, cleaning...

L - Aren't you a responsible person?

B - I live alone, I have to be responsible. Unlike you I don't have time to lounge around all day, not being helpful at all.

L - I can think of multiple times I've helped people, Beth.

B - Of course you can, because you screwed them over beforehand.

L - Wha-hey, that's not true!

B - Pfft, Hahahaha!

<B - I laughed as loud as I could as he tried to explain himself. I was fully aware that he was telling the truth, but that didn't stop me from going for it. We both took the occasional jab at each other whenever we had the chance, as a way to lighten up after classes.>

L - C'mon, Beth. It's not that funny.

B - *chuckle* Sorry, sorry. I know you are (maybe) a nice guy.

L - See? That wasn't so hard to say, was it?

B - Yeah... Anyways, why did you want to hang out tomorrow?

L - Oh, you haven't heard? There's an offer at the restaurant downtown, couples get a discount. If you come, I'll invite~

B - I've should've known...

L - The offer still stands. And besides, I know you can't say no to free food~

B - (Tsch, dammit...) The desserts, how good are they in that restaurant?

L - Heavenly, and you can ask for as many as you want. I'm paying, after all.

<B - He knew me too well already. I didn't like the fact that he was able to push my buttons so easily, but after so many months hanging out together, it was just inevitable. After a few minutes of thinking that led me nowhere, I decided to give in.>

B - ...fine.

L - Hell yeah!

B - Don't be so happy. I'm going to leave you penniless.

L - Haha! Beth, it's not like you to be funny.

B - Who says I'm joking?

L - Haha... ha?
