I woke up in an unfamiliar room, with hair stuck to my face from sweating, and a pounding headache. I can't really remember anything, except for trying to break up with Calum, and I guess it did not end well.

But whatever happened after that was a mystery. I was now laying on someones bed, with a knit blanket over me. The room was painted grey and looked fairly clean. "hey," spoke a familiar voice.

And there was Ashton holding a glass of water and some pills. He had his signature curly hair all messy, and his adorable grin showing off his dimples.

He walked towards the bed, sitting on the edge and setting the items on a dresser. "what happened?" I asked, more confused than ever.

"Well I was just getting home, when I got a call from Luke, he said to get down there right away, and that you were in trouble." So of course I got there as soon as I could, and long story short Calum punched you, Luke punched Calum, well we both punched Calum, a few times actually." "I decided to bring you to my house till you woke up."

Well that would explain my throbbing cheek, and Ashton's almost black eye. "Wow," I said under my breath. "Thanks Ashton, but you didn't need to do that."

You're right, I didn't need to," he started. "I wanted to, and it's insane how I just met you, but I want to help you through everything." Ashton smiled, and tucked some loose hair behind my ear before leaving a small kiss on my cheek.

I could feel my cheeks heat up as I smiled softly to the ground. "you really are beautiful," He said "I love the way your blue eyes light up." "And how you always look down when your blushing." He smiled.

I bit my lip trying not to smile so much, but it was no use. Ashton was slowly melting my heart. I felt things I haven't for a long time. I finally had some sort of emotion, and feelings.

I got up from my place on the bed, moving towards him, and tightly wrapping my arms around him. He smelt like mint, and cologne. Ashton tightly held on to me, and we both stayed that way for a long time.

"I'm always here Steph," He whispered. "Do you promise to stay?" I asked pulling away and letting a tear escape from my eye. Ashton wiped my fallen tear, "I promise," He spoke taking my small hands into his.

We stayed quiet for a while, and Ashton let me cry into his sweatshirt while he quietly hummed. I then stayed there, in his arms, and never wanted him to let go of me.

"Ash?" I asked, looking up at him. "Yeah Steph?" He moves some hair from my face. "What if Calum does something," "What if he tries to get me back, and ends up hurting you?"

"I wont let him get near you Stephanie, even if he puts up a fight." "I will do anything to protect you." He answered.

He gently touched my bruised cheek. I held in a breath from the pain, as he grabbed the items he had earlier. He handed me a glass of water and three pills, which I took right away.

"Are you feeling okay to go do something today" He asked. "Yeah I think I could use some air" I spoke. "Okay, well I'm gonna take you out," Ashton smiled. I returned the favour and got up from the bed.
