I still remember that day...the day it all changed...the day he got that letter...
It was just a normal day maybe like November? It became a blur after a while...anyways we were walking home together smiling and laughing...I miss those days...
Michael smiled to Jake softly as they held hands walking home since Jakes car was in the shop, but it didn't matter to them, it was a nice day. Jake smiled back to him noticing his hand shaking a little.
"What's the matter Princess?" Jake asked him making him blush from the nickname.
"I should be hearing back from the young brilliant minds program I applied to today...I'm just nervous I didn't get in..." Michael sighed as Jake stoped taking hold of his shoulders looking at him.
"Don't talk like that! Michael you are one of the smartest kids I know, you deserve to be in that gifted program and if you didn't get in, well at least we get to spend senior year together" he smiled making Michael blushed a little. "Now come on, show me a smile Princess or is the tickle monster gonna make you~" he smirked as he picked up Michael starting to tickle him making him laugh like crazy.
"Uncle uncle put me down!" Michael laughed as Jake just carried him over to Michael's house since they were almost there. He finally put him down when they got to the porch where Michael saw an envelope with the seal of the program he applied to on it. He grabbed it looking at it before pushing it to Jake. "I can't open it!" He said nervously. "You open it please!" He begged Jake. Jake laughed rolling his eyes as he opened the letter and read it. "What does it say?!" Michael said nervously before Jake pulled him into a deep and passionate kiss.
"You got in!" Jake said excitedly. Michael gasped reading the letter crying as Jake picked him up spinning him around as Michael laughed happily. He brought him over to the swinging bench on the porch so Michael could read the whole letter.
"Oh no...oh Jake it says I have to be there by next week" he said worried looking to Jake. Jake sighed kissing his forehead.
"Then I promise this will be the best week of your life" he smiled seeing Michael's moms care pull up.
"Hey boys!" Erin smiled walking up with her wife.
"Mom! I got in! I have to be there next week!"
"Oh sweetheart that's amazing!" Penelope smiled hugging him happily. Erin hugged as well happy for her son.
"Thank you mama" he smiled. They left so Jake and Michael can spend some more time with one another as they swing on the porch.
~A Week Later~
Michael was waiting at the gate for his plane to start boarding waiting with his moms and Jake. He heard them starting to call the other sections so it was finally time.
"Good bye baby boy, we're gonna miss you..." Penelope said hugging him. "Call me and your mom every day alright!" She said.
"I promise, and thank you for being there for my mom Pen." He smiled to her hugging her and his mom. They left so Jake can have a moment with him.
"Please call me every day, if I don't hear from you I'm gonna worry something happen, even a text saying I'm busy talk later would be alright just so I know your alive" he said while hugging him.
"I promise Jake, I promise" Michael smiled. Jake smiled back pulling out something from his pocket putting it on Michael. Michale gasped. "Oh Jake it's beautiful..." Michael smiled. It was a locket engraved with their initials and a photo of the two of them.
"I got it specially made for you, so you know I'm always right there in your heart" Jake smiled. Michael teared up hugging him again giving him one last passionate kiss. "Call me as soon as you land"
"I promise" Michael smiled kissing him again before being called to his plane. "I love you Jake"
"I love you too Michael!" Jake said as Michael went into his plane.
...I never should have let him leave. If I told him to stay or maybe go to the program next year he would be here beside me...
It's been four years since Michael was heard from. Everyone else has given up hope...but not me. I can't give up.
My princess is trapped somewhere I just know it! And I'm going to be the one who rescues him, I swear!
Michael...princess...where are you...
