I had to admit that, although I was happy about the confirmation about the mutual feelings of the group, I had some concerns over confessing our confessions to the public. "If we tell the press about this situation tomorrow, my parents will destroy me for trying to end another engagement. There's no way they'll be okay with it."

"I could talk to my parents about it. They'll probably be more understanding. If they agree to retracting our engagement, your parents won't have a choice. Then it'll be my fault, not yours."

Maybe an hour later, Felix was calling his dad to talk about the situation and asking to retract the engagement so he could marry Nana and I could marry Hyunjin. Much to my surprise, his dad agreed and hung up after saying that he was going to call my parents to officially retract the engagement.

We spent a few hours deciding exactly what to tell the press the following day. We decided to begin by talking about how our engagement was never really about love, but about business. Then tell the press about our mutual agreement that we were not in love with each other and in love with someone else, leading that into the announcement of the termination of our engagement. Lastly, we would inform them that there are no problems in our relationship aside from our parents trying to make us marry people we love platonically rather than romantically.

The next day was the press conference. I has asked Lisa to help me decided what to wear to keep up the family "image." I'm so happy I have another girl to help me to decide what to wear to stuff like this other than my mom.

I met up with the other three and my brother at a cafe near where the conference would be held. After ordering our coffee (or hot chocolate for me), we made our way to the location together. My parents had already called my brother to complain about the termination of our engagement, but like Felix said, they couldn't do anything about it. Junhong, who would soon become the official CEO of Starlight Co. after my dad retires, promised that he would take charge in finding a new suitor for me. My parents, not knowing that Junhong already knew Hyunjin and I were a thing, agreed. Too late to take it back now though. Junhong had a meeting with Hyunjin's parents after the conference to talk to them about it.

When we got to the platform in front of the press, Felix spoke first. "Before we begin explaining the situation involving the four of us and the rumors, I would like to remind you that our engagement was arranged by our parents. We didn't meet until the day our engagement was announced."

It was my turn to speak. "As you'd expect, it's hard to fall in love with someone you've just met...Especially when you've already fallen for someone else. Hyunjin saved my life when I had just returned to Korea, and without realizing it, I fell in love with him, but I was engaged to someone who had emotionally abused me. Then I was engaged to someone who made me feel human and like I was more than just the daughter of a CEO, but it didn't change that deep down, I'd already fallen for Hyunjin, who has saved me more times than I can remember. From a truck driving down the road. From bullies at school. From myself even."
