*Trigger Warning: depression/cutting/suicidal thoughts*
I froze as soon as I saw my seatmate and my fiance together in the middle of the crowd. Without hesitation, Hyunwoo's fist met Sangwon's jaw, making him stumble back. Rather than fighting back, he stuttered out a response. "W-what is wrong with you, Hyunwoo-ah? Why would you even thing about attacking your hyung?"
"Why would you even think about telling your fiance to get plastic surgery? Are you insane or just blind? Choi Y/N is probably the prettiest girl in the school...No in Seoul." Hearing my name, my shock grew. Why would Hyunwoo be standing up for me? I thought I was bugging him.
"What does it matter to you? It's just a business affair. Is that seriously what you consider pretty? If I'm going to be forcibly married to someone by my parents, shouldn't she at least be my type? Choi Y/N is no where near my type."
Without saying anything, Hyunwoo swung again. This time, however, Sangwon was prepared and dodged, his eyes landing on me in the process. He nodded his head towards me. "You, come here."
Scared of what would happen if I disobeyed, I did as he said regardless of Hohyeon trying to hold me back. I was hesitant though, and when Sangwon saw that, he grabbed my arm and pulled me to where they were. Once I was standing between them, a look of horror on Hyunwoo's face, Sangwon addressed the crowding students.
"What do you all think? Is my fiance the prettiest girl in Seoul?" Boos sounded out from most of the crowd, the only people not booing being Seungmin and Hohyeon. Then he continued. "Is she at least the prettiest girl in the school?"
More boos. Not able to take it, I ripped my hand away from him and ran off, hoping to find anywhere void of people, and I did: the roof. I stood next to the ledge, tears beginning to fall down my cheeks. It's not like I wanted to care what he said or what anyone else said. What I cared about was what my family and friends thought, and my family (with the exception of Junhong) agreed with Sangwon and the rest of the student body.
After a minute or two, the door to the roof opened. "Why do I always seem to find you when you're crying?"
I turned around to see Hyunjin walking towards me. I couldn't help but smile when I saw him. He came over to stand beside me. "You weren't planning to jump, were you? Because if so, this would make two times that I've saved your life."
As horrible as I felt in that moment, I found myself giggling. "I'd be lying if I said it never crossed my mind, but no. I wasn't planning on jumping. My parents would bring me back from the dead to force me into marriage if I did anyway. What are you doing up here?"
"There's always a lot of drama during lunch, so I usually just come up here where it's quiet. I'm assuming you're here for the same reason that you were crying, right? Mind telling me why?"
"My fiance is a jerk who got the entire school to say that I need plastic surgery." I crossed my arms, looking down so I wouldn't be making eye contact with him.
"Not the entire school. I would never say that you need plastic surgery because you don't. Anyone who would say that you do is blind."
I looked up, immediately meeting his eyes as I slowly lowered my arms. "Are you serious? Even my parents have suggested that I get plastic surgery, and if it weren't for Junhong oppa, I would have gotten it done already."
Hyunjin smiled, grabbing my left hand. His hand was large and warm and, most importantly, comforting. "Of course I am. Now what do you say we go get you something to eat while we still can? They'll only say worse things about you if your stomach starts growling in the middle of class."
